    Meanwhile, back in the USA....
Nice. Of course that deal was a shady deal, but nevertheless, poor ole' Grandma lives with no running water, and the school kids don't have clean water, electricity, or sanitation. Nice.

The rest of this sad, sad story is at the link below. The man doesn't keep his promises so why should we believe he'll keep the promises he makes to get himself elected?

And why does the story have to come from the UK and not American media? I think we all know why....

"Hopefully I can provide some assistance in the future to this school and all that it can be." He then turned to the school's principal, Yuanita Obiero, and assured her and her teachers: "I know you are working very hard and struggling to bring up this school, but I have said I will assist the school and I will do so."

Doesn't sound like a promise to me.

Yup, we are stuck, because McCain couldn't keep a promise to his first wife either.

Is that all you have? I am not voting for McCain butholding ones past and repented sins against a man that has publically admitted this is his biggest moral failure is beyond God's standard.

Well, this thread is about keeping promises - neither appear to be able to do that.

They are all politicians. Why are lies and broken promises even issues. Thats what they do.

This is especially interesting in light of Michelle's convention speech last night where she said that she and Barak were raised with the same values - including "keeping your promises" and "caring for the least among you".

Even if he didn't want to give his own money it would have been pretty easy to raise money from others to donate.

These kind of moments tell more about the man than a scripted speech.

Yep, and Michelle said only last night that "his word is his bond." It would be funny if it wasn't so evil.

    This thread proves one thing.

    Obama is a qualified politician.

    He lies
    He break promises

if that disqualifies him from office then we are in SERIOUS trouble finding someone worthy of support.

Roger, you have complained about not having anti-Obama threads of substance. When you get that, such as this one, then you chalk it up to politicians being politicians. Hey, if you want to vote for Obama, that's certainly your right to do so.:type:

Politicians lying is hardly substance. That is the norm.

You subtle implication that I support Obama is uncalled for. I have made my view clear over and over.

I don't really understand how beleivers stand in support of this candidate who supports infanticide. He is not only pro-choice, he is pro-abortion. He is a clueless, liberal, unqualified big spender.

That is why I don't support him.

The fact that he is a lying promise breaker means he is a normal politician.
