Its a difference in priorities. I look to a candidates faith in God first. I would much rather have a man in power who seeks the counsel of God.....especially before he starts endorsing more liberal abortion laws and gay marriage.

I would never marry a non-christian woman, so why would I vote for a non-christian president? Or even one who claims to be a christian but promotes a non-biblical agenda?

Following, as best I can transcribe, is what I consider to be the most important part of Obama's testimony:

Obama said: "... I heard a sermon about hope and faith and the love of Jesus Christ. And during the course of the sermon I was introduced to Jesus in a way that I had not been before. And I learned that my sins would be redeemed if I placed my trust in Him - that He could set me on the path of eternal life. It was because of this new found understanding that I was finally able to walk down the aisle one day and get baptized. ... Kneeling beneath the cross I heard God's Spirit beaconing me. I submitted myself to His will dedicating myself to discovering His truths and carrying out His works."

I recognize these words as a convincing and credible personal testimony of salvation by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only God knows for certain whether or not these were truthful. I choose to avoid making that judgment least I been wrong.

This, however, doesn't change my understanding that Obama's church preaches a very dangerous black liberation "theology" that grew out of the "Black Power" movement of the 1960s. Read "Black Theology & Black Power" by James H. Cone for a clear understanding of the serious threat this "theology" presents. Nor does it change my understanding that Obama favors many of the socialist ideals which this "social gospel" advocates and which he seeks to implement through government. In this judgment I am much more confident and feel justified to speak out accordingly.
