Obama just confirmed what others here have suggested, that he is more interested in getting elected than solving a critical problem facing the country today.

His attitude says to let people suffer or lose the 401K retirement. It is far more important that he be elected than to try to halt the erosion of their retirement plans.

My 401(k) hasn't been eroding. Of course, I got out of stocks around a year ago as I ddn't like the way things were going in the stock market even that long ago. One of the best moves I ever made. :)

    Good for you.

So it's OK with you if Obama prolongs the financial misery of those who are not as smart as you, while he concentrates on politics as usual?

Even Senator Coburn is on board for doing a bailout plan. The plan will be passed and both major party presidential candidates will support it.

Senator Obama is not prolonging this anymore than Senator McCain is prolonging it.

By the way, you are assuming that this bailout plan will work. I am not convinced that it will. We may spend $700 billion of taxpayers' money and not end up any better off but $700 billion poorer.

    Obama's press conference indicates otherwise.
