    Hey, I'm tinytims oldest son & I'm new to BaptistBoard & I was wondering if there is anyone who plays bass & if so what kind.

    I play an Ibanez electric five-string, and I also play a bass fiddle. Sometimes called the "doghouse" bass. Or "stand-up" bass.

    It is one step above a tuba.

    The stand up bass is a blast to play. And it is as close as one can come to having a dance partner and still be called a Baptist.

    I had to take strings in college (Music Ed Major), so I chose the bass. I ended up playing for some musicals in college - Oklahoma, Unsinkable molly Brown, a few others but i can't remember the titles. Lots of fun!

    I play some. I've got an old Series 10 professional 4-string with a Kahler trem bridge, and a custom Rob Wave 5-string. My amp is a Gallien Krueger 1001RB. My cabs are an Ampeg 410 and a custom 1,200 watt 4x12 with neo drivers, I made it.
