BB upgrade + new features

    The BB will be down for up to 30 minutes today as we upgrade the software.

    This will be a major upgrade and there will be many great new features so it's well worth the downtime.

    Some of the new features:
    - Private Message notification on the forum summary page.
    - User adjustable date/time view.
    - Featured topics. This will keep the selected "sticky topic" at the top of the thread list within a forum.

    The upgrade is complete.

    1.) From now on if you get a PM, you will now see a blinking image on the top of the forum summary page. Hopefully, this will result in less missed PMs. You should check your PMs now if you haven't in a while, as existing unread PMs won't trigger the notification.

    2.) You can now change the time display on the board. You can choose the time offset and how the time is displayed - just edit your profile.

    I did not get the thing that said blank hours. So this is a dry run.

    Ok..I think it worked. But My clocks all say 3:24. The minutes are off. They are set with TV, and the bank, and the School, and so I know I am not off on my end.

    That pm thing is really working out good! Everyone should go up at the top of the page and see if its blinking in the left hand corner. I sent lots of pms so everyone could see! [​IMG]

    adjusted my local time and this worked, I like this, for some reason the Eastern Time urked me, now maybe I can be a kinder, gentler Frogman :D

    Fantastic job with the last upgrade mate [​IMG] [​IMG]

    The "Topic Review" feature when replying comes in very handy. Would it be possible to have that as default view for threads? I have been known to save a discussion or two, editing out un-needed info is a bit of a trick.
