Is this a caricature? Are you sure that you understood what the guy was saying? Perhaps he was saying that since he did not know Greek, the dissertation held no validity for him. He could not read and understand the arguments from the Greek. However, he could read and understand the KJV so that was the authority for him. For guys who don’t read Greek, who are they to believe?</font>[/QUOTE]Two comments</font>
    • Mr. Camping's error lies not in his logic but in his Allegorical hermenutics. But, that is a problem with many Presbyterian and Reformed writers.</font>
    • This is a basic question which gets ignored in the debate. When the question first arose in the late 70s, English Bible Only men having gone through the fight against Modernism and Neo-Orthodoxy saw the rise of "new" and improved" translations as a danger. Pridefully, these good men were ignored as bumpkins of some kind or another.</font>

    hmmmm...

They gave a Unitarian both a ThM and a PhD and had him on staff--- but they didn't know what he believed. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Maybe if I kept quiet about seeing a need for textual criticism I might get "hired" too [IMG] .
