I just got my new book, BEYOND THE WILD BLUE a history of the United States Air Force, 1947-2007 second edition by Walter J. Boyne. Has anyone else read it yet? I am an avid reader of military history and think it should be a great read. I was in the Air Force from 1988-1994, so anything Air Force is cool.

I have the Ambrose collection of WW2 stories---the latest being "The Boys of the Wild Blue Yonder"---or something like that

That book(see above paragraph) focuses on a certain B-24 Liberator bomber group----pinpointing a certain US Senator named George McGovern as Pilot of one of those "Flying Dump Trucks"---good book!!
