Hmmmm....looks to me like it was the other way around, ISLAM supplanted Hinduism and Buddhism.

And Obama's statement was referring to the US. The US has never colonized a muslim nation, whether indiginous religion was supplanted to islam or not.

He is not referring to the British empire or some other country, the reference is clearly to the history of the US. You can't make any of us believe it was an oversight and that he was not referring to the US. He wouldn't even have had to take a breath between the two sentences. It is a lie.

You're not interpreting this correctly. The West means "The West."

Lady Eagle is interpreting what "bho" said correctly. He is lumping the United States in with Europe on both Colonialism and the Crusades. It is not possible that "one so brilliant" as "bho" is ignorant of American history so he is obviously slandering this country. But anyone who does not bow down to "bho" expects that sort of behavior from him.
