When did promoting Biblical morality, or even morality in general, come to be viewed as hateful and bigoted in our society?

When they took prayer & Bible reading out of the public education system. (June 17,1963) That was the beginning of the end.

I graduated high school in 1977 and we still had prayer in the schools. But, that was the south.
I don't know when Biblical morality became viewed as hateful, but I've been a Christian for 25 years and I've been dealing with that attitude among unbelievers for that entire time. It's very sad.

When you stand on the Word of God and say homosexuality and abortion is an abomination to God then you are labled a bigot and hateful. when you stand on the Word of God and say that sinners without Christ alone will spend eternity in hell and torment then you are labeled a bigot and hateful.

    Galatians 6:9 comes to mind

When there were enough morally bankrupt individuals to elect likeminded individual's to office, and good men were too preoccupied with leisure and entertainment to effectively protest.

Amen to every post! This one speaks loudly for me:
It began in the 1960s, the "hippie generation." It thundered into our schools in 1963. "Values Clarification" destroyed truth, the difference between wrong and right. Christians elected to office those who subscribed to "there is no truth - truth is whatever the individual says it is."

Political correctness, I'm OK, You're OK, tolerance of anything ~~ anything goes. Someone said that it is an unfolding event in the demise of the nation, and I agree.

Politicians like Kennedy, Pelosi, Boxer, Barney Frank, Hillary, are leading the charge to the end of a Nation of Christians. I coined the phrase "Appetite for Apathy" when describing Christian America.

I think it all began way before the baby boomers' time (60's) and then truly sufaced in the late 60's with all that free love and free sex thing, along with all the political activism, and now it's on the rampage.

I remember that back in the late 50's it was already provocative for Anita Ekberg to display her body the way she did in one of those films she did with Victor Mature, but in the mid 60's, a 16 year old could go into a moviehouse and watch actual sex being done on the screen in the Philippines by big name movie stars.

And then in the early 70's thru the late 70's these "Children of God", previously called the Flower People, and the Jesus People, founded by David Berg, came to the Philippines, with their flirty fishing and all that. I know because my brother brought me to one of their "communes".
