I agree with Pastor Larry. The fewer stores the better. As far as stores go, Walmart is ok. I do not like crowded places, so I try to avoid Walmart and the mall.

I have bought T-shirts from Wal-Mart that's lasted me a long time. Of course, I will say that I bought a pair of shoes & only paid $11.00 for them, & I haven't even had them for one month & they are already wearing out. That's what happens when you buy a cheap off brand.

In any case, you can't dispute that they sell the well known national brands cheaper than most places. Joshua is right to a degree. Wal-Mart won't specially order anything, whether its a game, Dvd, or Cd. In all honesty, I would love to see another company emerge to give Wal-Mart some heavy competetion (especially a grocery chain). Not just on prices, but services too. If that happened, I think everyone (the consumers) would benefit from it.

Walmart DOES have competition- every other grocery and department store in town.

In our little burg of McAllen, TX, we have five Walmarts and a Sam's Club. There is also no shortage of Mom and Pop operations. Of course we are right on the border so it is a bit of an anomaly because we get thousands of Mexicans who come across to spend their hard-earned pesos here because prices are cheaper. Especially with $1 getting around 14 pesos right now- good for us, bad- VERY bad, for them.

In a nutshell- some people just cannot stand a success story. No one holds a gun to anyone's head and makes them sell to, shop or work at Walmart yet millions do. I DO wish they would go back to 'Made in the USA', but unfortunately foolish government regulations and Union pressures have overpriced the US manufacturing market.
