Big Business has an insatiable demand for cheaper labor. They want open borders and even more immigrants to lower their labor costs. Never mind that we are in a deep recession with millions unemployed already.

Good-bye, GOP, if you pass this plan. Good-bye, USA--your educational system is so bad that people can't read their future under the Democrats.

Now the GOP is saying that they are forced to consider immigration because business has been threatened by government if they do not pressure the GOP to do something about immigration. In other words, the Feds can all but shut a business down with investigations for Democrat political reasons.

Now some people are speculating that the current disarray in the GOP over immigration is intended as a slap in the face for the members of the tea party.

Unfortunately, when the GOP country club types finish with their little joke if it goes much further, the headlines are going to read

More like government has been threatened by big business that pays for practically all of their election and re-election campaigns.

Go over to the La Raza website and check out all their corporate sponsors. That should give you an idea of who really wields the power in this country.

“Since taking office in February 2009, Holder has dished out deferred and non prosecution agreements to more than 100 large publicly held corporations, including JPMorgan Chase (Madoff Ponzi scheme), Archer Daniels Midland(foreign bribery), Diebold (foreign bribery), UBS (interest rate manipulation),HSBC (money laundering), Pfizer (foreign bribery), Wachovia (money laundering), Tyson Foods (foreign bribery), Barclays Bank (Trading with the Enemies Act), Deutsche Bank (tax shelter fraud).”

That’s a tidy sample of Eric Holder’s work.

Don't kid yourself CMG. Democrats are just as dependent on big business to run their election and re-election campaigns and gaining future high level corporate positions as the republicans. The only time democrats go after any business is when it threatens their hold on power or the global banks and multinational corporation's agenda to rob us blind enslave us with debt balkanize us and move us into a one world government.

This thread really is about the effect that big business is having on the GOP. We all know that businessmen are now Democrats. As we go to a one-party system, we can see that the one party will be the Democrat Party.

Absolutely nothing new about big business wanting cheap labor. There is a sad history around the world of this being true ... simply a part of Capitalism.

Jobs are being moved out of China now because of the rising labor costs. Read about some being outsourced to the US last week. I'll see if I can find it again.

The coal companies and politicians created an almost slave system in WV in the late 19th century ... and they are in the process of destroying the mountains in WV as we discuss topics here.

Go on Google Earth and look at the destruction in WV.

The GOP helped to export the jobs. Now the GOP finds themselves under the demands of the remaining Republican corporations to help lower labor costs. These same people want the Tea Party silenced. In order to accommodate everyone, the GOP has to open the borders permanently.

This new amnesty will destroy the GOP also. The USA will go to a one-party system and a class system. The flood of cheap labor from Asia, Africa, and Latin America will make America unrecognizable. However, the GOP will have taken the Tea Party down with them as the immigrants will vote Democrat to get the basic human services that their cheap American wages will not allow them to purchase.

I agree CMG. America will be divided into "tribal areas". And we'll all be serfs to the new land owner class. The .01%

But these big businesses are lulling the public to sleep and has most of America convinced that an "Information Based Economy" is the most advanced. While that may be true it is also the most fragile and most susceptible to collapsing. This country will be much stronger if we once again become a nation that produces most of what it buys and uses.

That can't happen because we have the highest corporate taxes in the world. You can't make any money in the USA--it all goes to the layers of unnecessary bureaucracy in Washington D.C. The only way to make money is to invest it overseas where taxes do not eat up the profits.
