Other than saying he went off the meds before appearing before the Senate Committee, I don't remember much else at all indicating that he went off his meds before his "appearances", as you initially stated.

At any rate, it is a moot point, in this case at least, because his shaking was a result of taking his medication.

What I find interesting, almost to the point of absurdity, is this notion that it is wrong to use a condition, such as Parkinsons, for political sympathy. What about Megan Kanka's parents did they not use her death for political sympathy to get Megans Law passed? Were they also exploiting the situation? What about MADD? They have also used this notion of "political sympathy"...

And with me as well. And with the majority in this nation who support embryonic stem cell research. One day, rational thinkers will be back in the majority. Till then, welcome to the new dark ages.

Scientists have developed a new technique for getting an embryonic stem cell that does not sacrifice the embryo.

Of course, I'm not sure that it does the embryo all that much good because the ones that would've been used were slated to be discarded anyway.

I don't know if Fox was on his meds or off them. It doesn't matter.

When he steps into the political arena, he is fair game for anyone that wants to take him on. He can't hide behind his disability.

Sacrificing God's creation in the name of the Religion of Science . . .

    :BangHead:

What did we not learn from the Flood?

    Sodom and Gomorrah?

    The Exile?

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus?

Did you listen to the original broadcast ? I've never heard him attack Fox for his disease. He attacks Fox for misleading people to think a cure is just around the corner, when it's not, he tells them republicans pretty much want him to stay sick. That's the attack. Rush's observation that Fox may be off his meds was an afterthought.

And more people die from heart disease each year than Perkinson's, but I bet you won't stop attacking Cheney.

Fox has admited once, that he went off his meds. The way you tell it is wrong, or at least misleading.

It was in Chapter 8, but here is the exact quote from his book:

"I had made a deliberate choice to appear before the subcommittee without medication. It seemed to me that this occasion demanded that my testimony about the effects of the disease, and the urgency we as a community were feeling, be seen as well as heard. For people who had never observed me in this kind of shape, the transformation must have been startling. "

It doesn't say he "uses" this as a tool in appearences. He only wanted to show the Senators exactly what he was living with.

Now, Please apologize for misleading the readers of this thread.

    Then why all the stink?

Hiding? I thought the Republican smear machine was going after him for exploiting it, for not hiding it.

Yeah, right. Your post proves that he does go off his meds, on purpose. So climb off yer self-pious high horse.

How about for not "controlling" it ?

Also, it's not whether or not embryonic stem-cell research will be outlawed. It's whether it will ever be federally funded.

But not for the purpose you stated. That is misleading at best.

Uhm, no high horse here... I am just reading from the book... You are making accusations and then when shown to be wrong, won't admit it.

    Your choice..

 I never gave a purpose. Nice try, guys.

The only misleading, around here, has been done by people who didn't hear the program, and Mr. Fox, himself.

Isn't "controlling" it a form of hiding it?

Actually, some would have embryonic stem cell research banned outright. Federal funding is very important here to research that isn't geared to immediate profit.

There you go again. I DID hear the program, and I am not misleading.

For those who haven't heard it, here is the Fox ad, and the pig boy's comments accusing Fox of acting like he has Parkinson's.

It sounds better, to me. :saint:

That's not the case, in either candidate that Fox criticized in his ad.

Are you going to show me where I made an accusation, and was proven wrong ?

Imagin that Christian values are at odds with the world and the majority of its lost people. Who knew?
