    What dictionary do you use?

    According to dictionary.com:

Also called voluntary abortion. the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy.
    2.
any of various surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, especially during the first six months.
    3.
Also called spontaneous abortion. miscarriage ( def 1 ) .
    4.
    an immature and nonviable fetus.
    5.
    abortus ( def 2b ) .

    According to Webster's 1828 dictionary:

ABOR'TION, n. [L. abortio, a miscarriage; usually deduced from ab and orior.]

    1. The act of miscarrying, or producing young before the natural time, or before the fetus is perfectly formed.
    2. In a figurative sense, any fruit or produce that does not come to maturity, or any thing which fails in its progress, before it is matured or perfect, as a design or project.
    3. The fetus brought forth before it is perfectly formed.

Sure - I'll bite - but most likely not be able to fully debate as I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow morning (God willing - need to watch the weather).

Birth control that allows an egg to be fertilized but does not allow that pregnancy to progress is an abortifacient. That is wrong.

Preventing pregnancy by using barrier methods is not wrong.

Having a heart condition where one despises children and disagrees with the Lord that they are a blessing is wrong whether one uses birth control or not.

Now, let me ask YOU a question. I cannot get pregnant without modern medicine. I have 4 children thanks to God's gift to me of medication. So, should I continue to use medication to facilitate further pregnancies or should I just continue to not have the ability to get pregnant?

See - there are two sides to this coin. One is to prevent pregnancy when it will happen naturally otherwise and the other is to be able to seek pregnancy but choosing not to do so. As your stance seems to lead to, I am sinning by not seeking to become pregnant again because I KNOW I can get pregnant if I follow certain medical procedures.

I really can't follow a lot of what you say in the context of my understanding. So what I am going to do is go back and read over every one of your post... one at a time. And then take it one statement at a time...line by line. This will help me understand you. And when we debate it one statement at a time...it will make it easier for me to follow what you say.

Here is your first question you asked me.

What verse do you want me to show you? Explain?

That was in response to your post where you said in the beginning:

"I know that it is not acceptable to God for anyone of their own
doing...to bring about the prevention of the womb
from bearing the fruit, of a husband and wife union?"

I'd like to see the verse that says it's not acceptable to God for anyone to prevent a pregnancy.

I did not say I had a verse from the bible that is my source of information. Do you have anything further to say concerning this? If so please do so before we go on to the next statement you made.

Then how do you know it's unacceptable to God?

Your perception that an almighty God could not overcome a thin layer of latex or a small pill makes me curious just how almighty you think God is.

By your logic if a couple has sexual relations outside of the covenant of marriage and gets pregnant, this must somehow be God's will.

No I do not take any birth control medication whatsoever. To me it is a sin.
No I do not take any medication or antibiotics.

Have you ever used any form of birth control besides abstinence?

    If so ...why?

It's your idea, I'm just following your lead here.

If all contraception is evil, a sin, then all contraception, even contraception between people not in the covenant of marriage must be a sinful as well. So if that is the case, again walking your trail here, it must somehow be God's will for a child to be conceived and born, outside the covenant of marriage, or God who controls the womb, would have prevented this couple from getting pregnant in the first place.

I think we should all be VERY careful asking for and revealing our medical history. There is plenty to discuss about this topic without requiring private medical information

Here we will start with this statement you made. You tell me...do you believe all contraception is evil, a sin?

Then we can proceed to this statement you made.

"then all contraception, even contraception between people not in the covenant of marriage must be a sinful as well."

First we must determine if all contraception is evil and sin.

Very good. Now instead of trying to prove that I am wrong...prove you are right.

Post your argument why you believe it is acceptable to God for married people to try to prevent the birth of their children. We do not have to talk about unmarried people because we all know fornication is sin.

So how many children should a couple have?

Should they have children, even if they cannot afford them?
