No need for expensive drilling offshore.

So these farmers, like the Arabs, want $110 oil. <G>

Of course, it is the Republican way of thinking. What is yours ought to be mine!

Sorry. That is clearly the Democratic way of thinking. It as been proven time and time again and you support it whole heatedly.

Well that makes no sense at all. Why drill in the ocean where it is much more expensive when there are billions of gallons of oil under ND. It would cost less to drill on land. Or is it you want expensive oil so the oil companies will make even greater profits? What do you have against the ND farmers making a bit of money?

By the way, I don't believe I've ever commented on drilling or not drilling in the ocean until now. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.

Maybe you should go back and reread my post.

That's the first time I've ever heard of a lot of oil in Nebraska. But here's a wild idea - why not drill for both? Does it have to be one or the other. Seems to me we should be tapping every source we can find.

    Nebraska??

Um, exactly what kind of grades did you receive in your US Geography class??

No one mentioned Nebraska (that's NE for those of you who work at the Post Office) anywhere in this thread, nor did the article, if I read it correctly.

[Edited to add] I did read it correctly, for I went back and re-read it, just to be sure.

Do the farmers in N. Dak own the mineral rights?

I don't know where I got Nebraska. Brain toot I guess  But everything I said about Nebraska goes for North Dakota as well.
