So you commit sins of omission by not doing what you should. Is that what you're saying?

I get slack and God corrects me. But to commit adultery, kill, still, covet, and other such sins. I will not do or commit. God will not let it be.

    I like this comment.

I don't agree with the papal edict by any stretch, here, but I still like the comment.

I ask for this topic to be closed because it is off subject. It looks like everyone is worry about what I do as a christain then the subject at hand. AGAIN this topic is not about what I do as a Christain. I have made it plain that I have sin. I get slack in the Lords work or get upset. If anyone of you do other sins then this then that is with you and God. But I know what I do and don't do. God shall judge that. I ask for this topic to be closed if we cannot get back to the subject at hand. the subject is blasphemy. Let us keep it on that.

Actually it is blasphemy to proclaim one's self to be without sin.

You might want to take a look at James 4:17. Here it is: "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. " Therefore, you have committed sin by not doing what you know to be right.

The CONTEXT of 1 John 3:6 makes verse 6 clear:

You clearly stated that you do not commit sin. You commit sin when you do not do what God tells you to do. That is COMMITTING sin. Yes, you commit sin. You also lie because you lied to us here on this board. You have many witnesses. We have seen the truth.

If we say we are without sin, the truth is not in us. We all sin. Scripture tells us that. To say that we do not commit sin but we sin is Satan's lie to take you from the truth. I'm sorry that you've accepted that lie.

    What is still?

If you have ever looked on a woman with lust (not looking at her and concentrating on her lusting - but any lust), then you have committed adultery. If you have ever gotten so angry at someone that you wish them gone, you've committed murder. ALL sin is sin. The sin that leads to death is denying the blood of Christ as we read in Scriptures. There is ONE sin that will not be forgiven and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Murder, adultery, coveting, etc. are all forgivable. To say otherwise is to limit the cross and speak where Scripture does not.

It's where you make your shine. :D

To claim sinlessness not only ignores 1 John, it also makes a mockery of the Sermon on the Mount.

Out of curiosity, if we are going to study the word and topic of "blaspheme" and "blasphemy" why did you only quote 2 verses where this word is even found (Mt. 12:31; Mk. 3:29) plus an additional 9 that do not evne mention the word, in any manner whatsover, plus open the subject of what sins a Christian can or cannot 'commit' up, in the first place?

Let's have one just on blaspheme and blasphemy, and I'll help this out. Those words are found in at least 45 times in at least 40 verses. Let's not only not pick and choose two verses, attempting to bolster the position.

BTW, how come you did not expand a bit on the fact that Jesus said in one of the verses you quoted these words, and I'll quote it from the version I have in my hand, currently -
Did you happen to notice that "every sin and blasphemy" will be forgiven men, except for the blasphemy against the Spirit? And I assure you the KJV says almost the exact same words, as well. BTW, the word "Holy" was added by the KJV translators in verse 31, as it is not found in the Greek text that the KJV was translated from, but without looking, I'd almost be willing to bet it can be found in the Roman Catholic D-R Bible, and was brought into the KJV here, from that version.

    [Edited to correct a guess!]

I was wrong on this guess, for I just checked. The word "Holy" in Mt. 12:31 is not found in the TYN, MCB, BISH, or D-R, but is found in the GEN (with no textual basis), from which it is imported to the KJV.

Well there you go I have never commit these sins sents I have been born again. I said I do not commit sin and that is not a lie. The scripture even stats that. You are calling me a lier and the bible a lie. I never said I HAVE NO SIN. That is what the scripture said. You put it as I said I haven't sinned.I never said I have no sin. I cannot commit them because the bible tells me so and not only that my heart does to. God is with me and is the truth and no lie. He keeps me from the sins you just gave. How can I lie if I am telling you the truth about me not commiting the sins that you pointed out. I told you what sins I have. I tell you the truth I have not commited them sins that you have pointed out sents I have been born again. I never said them sins are unforgiven. Why is it so hard for you to believe me. It seems to me you are mad about something. This topic was not to see if I sin or not. But you people are so in touch of what I am doing. Let me ask you annsni. HAVE you done any of the sins that you pointed out at the top. YES or No.
