What defiles and man and where does it come from? Mat 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
Mat 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Mat 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Like I said you judge the flesh God judge within.

Well, I would consider being slack in the Lord's work a spirtual sin. I would consider murder a sin of the flesh. I would consider adultry a sin of the flesh. It's interesting how it's only a "bad" sin if it is something you don't do.

The answer from the Bible is yes, God does allow this, at times.

    See my previous post.

God 'let' or 'allowed' Noah get drunk, after Noah is said to be one of two people who "walked with God" the other being Enoch.

God 'allowed' David to commit adultery and murder, after describing David as a Man after His own heart.

God 'allowed' Peter to deny Him, after Peter was saved. Incidentally, Jesus even called Peter "Satan" and that less than one week after his great confession of the Lord Jesus Christ, as found in Matt. 16:16.

God 'allowed' Lot to both get drunk, and to commit incest with his two living daughters, after he was one of only three individuals in the Bible described as 'righteous' or 'just' three times (the other two were Abel and Noah), something that was not even said of Abraham, Job, Moses, or David, and being the one and only individual in the Bible to specifically be identified as being among the "godly".

Apparently the Holy Spirit agreed with Paul's assessment of himself as "am chief of Sinners" many years after Paul was saved, for He caused it to be recorded in Scripture, and still spoke of Rahab as a prostitute more than 1000 years after her death in James. 2:26.

And that's only half of the 12 I just mentioned in the previous post. The others are similar.

    Ed

I never said being slack in the lord was not a sin or getting upset. It is not a spiritaul sin. The flesh is weak put the spirit is willing. go look at the post I gave you up above. What defiles a man and where does that defiling come from. Is it from within or from without?

Charles, if you deny you sin, Scripture calls you a liar.

So...don't bloviate here. Take it up with the Author.

Allow me to answer like Charles would...

"Well of course I sin.. I just don't commit sin."

I wonder if his line will work with God. I can see him now, "Hey God, you can't judge me on that sin. Of course I sinned, but I just didn't commit sin!"

I never said I don't have sin. I don't commit sin like what has been pointed out. If you do not believe me then that is ok. I do get chastise for the one I said I do. Being slack in the Lords work and getting upset.

    OK then!!!

Keep avoiding the truth that you commit sin...
I guess you didn't get angry yesterday when you sent those nasty PMs on another board, calling us blasphemers... did you?

BTW.. that is why he started this thread you all.. he was ANGRY on another board, and got turned sideways.. and showed himself in PMs.

Oh I forgot.. you don't get ANGRY...
    YOU were just upset...

    Alrighty then..

Keep convincing yourself that you don't commit sin..

I truly feel sorry for you...

But there ARE people I feel more sorry for than you.
That is the false prophets that have taught you this heresy...

For those false prophets will burn in the pits of Hell unless they come clean, and admit they commit sin...

That is the only way a person can even come to Christ... honestly..

YOu have to come to Christ while looking at your life HONESTLY.. not making excuses.. or playing word games.. but Honestly admitting you commit sins...

And those false prophets that have brainwashed you into believing this hogwash will burn red hot.. unless they give their lives to Christ, and

ONLY TRUST HIM to take them to Heaven...

NOT the fact that they don't "commit" sin...

YOU have been duped with the false religion of works..
This same religion that is taking people to Hell...

I am not saying you are not saved..

    I truly feel you are..
I think this is making you angry because you love Christ so much that you don't understand it clearly.

I feel you really have a heart for Christ.. you just seem ignorant about the truth of sin. (Ignorant, as in not knowledgable) And if you are willing to learn, there are plenty here that will teach you the truth.. (on the other board as well)...
But you have to be willing to listen to others outside your group.

Because your teachers are leading others to Hell.. and may be on their way there themselves..

So you are saying if you get in a car and go down the road and kill someone in a car that walked out in front of you and it was a accedent. That that was a commited sin. You need to think about what you are saying. Killing is a sin. Did you commit to killing this person with your car. You did not think about going down the road and say I will kill someone today with it. that is what I mean by commiting it. it is still a sin no matter what you say. But you did not commit to do it or willfully want to do it.

I did not commit to be slack in the Lords work or commit to getting upset. I did not plain to do so. My flesh is weak but my spirit is willing.

So, what you are saying is that you are just accidently slack in the Lord's work, so it isn't commiting sin...it's just accidental sin that is assigned to you, but you didn't really commit (or earn) that sin.

Sorry, bud, if you are slack in the Lord's work then it is your fault. It's not an accident. You should have buckled down and not been so slack.

Hey, I'm guilty of being slack at times as well. At least I admit I am committing sin.
