"Well George, while I was in my office today, I heard a funny sound. T'was your mother choppin' wood....."

    Our Town fans will understand.

"At least once in your life before you die, you ought to see a country where they don't talk in English and don't even want to."

I know it's one of the most reviled plays in recent history (thanks to English teachers who force their students to read it, but don't know themselves what it's about :( ), but I really love "Our Town."

No, Thornton Wilder. American playwright. Born 1897, died 1975.

Is that a song of hers? I've heard the name but don't know her music.

I know. I was just joking. I was in "Our Town" in Jr. High School.

Yes. It's probably her biggest song, along with "Infamous Angel" and "Let the Mystery Be".

She was also one of the stars of the movie "Songcatcher" and performs semi-regularly on "A Prarie Home Companion".

I get the feeling from reading your posts that you would like her.

Mrs. Gibbs didn't make it to Paris. The cemetary allegory is a good lesson in life, but not so hot in theology.

    The play is great.
