jean skirts are the greatest....lots of ladies in our church wear them. They are different designs and some have flowers etc....but we live in the Wild Wild West where jeans are THE acceptable clothing anyway.

I didn't take that comment to mean there aren't jean skirts larger women can't fit into, but that some larger women try squeezing into a skirt that's a couple sizes too small.

That's how I took the comment. Regretfully, denuim is not as forgiving as other types of cloth.

Hmmmm.....so I wonder what you (and the men in your church) think of all the rest of us women who don't wear dresses to church that often? If we are not ladies then what are we?

As for that last statement.....and you did open the can of worms by posting it..........respect for the quality of our faces is not what women are seeking from men....it's respect as another human being. If women were to receive respect for the quality of their faces, then unattractive women wouldn't be respected by our society and American culture.......oh, yeah, that's right....it already works that way...

And as for you not being able to give them respect for the quality of their faces because you can't get you eyes that high......it doesn't matter if women wear decent/modest clothes or not, women who are well-endowed never get much eye contact anyway....and that's not their fault. :saint: :tongue3:

I'm not picking at you, brother nor do I mean to cause a ruckus.....I'm just playing devil's advocate here to your statement.

    Have a great day! :flower:

There's not much she can do about the attention you pay to that. But it has nothing to do with blue jean skirts anyway.
Ehhh, it's both. Everybody wants to be attractive.
We who are descended from the great and noble heritage of ugly ancestors do not appreciate being called "unattractive." We are "Uglo-Americans," and would ask that you show more sensitivity in your word choices. :saint:

I am a fan of denim skirts. To me, if a girl is attractive, she is noticeably attractive in a denim skirt.

Tell them to practice with bleach pens! That would be cool designs on the skirts! All at the bottom rim and then around the waist and pockets.

They could do rinestones, but you don't want too much and look TBNish.

Now there's a fashion statement...."I want to look at like Jan Crouch."

You would think all good, holy, girls would want to look TBNish..That is the Christian channel. Or wait, is that the comedy channel? I laugh a lot when I see those clowns on there.

    Hey II John 7

The wife and I were watching 'Far and Away' this weekend. [It's a movie staring Tom Cruise and Nichole Kidman back when they were married] There is a great line in there where Tom and Nichole are arguing and Tom has this other girlfriend who wants to meet him at church. Nichole says

    I thought that was funny.

Guess I'm a bit slow on the uptake, but who in the world is Jan Crouch?

    One scary lookin mama

Her and hubby Paul run TBN--a religious broadcasting network. Home to some legit stuff and a lot of word of faith garbage.

You'd think she'd have a close friend that could tell her, nicely:

"Jan...take that purple wig off and ditch the three pounds of mascara. You look like a psychadelic scarecrow."

I have seen other ladies on there with thier chest exposed and all that. Its just not right. COVER YOURLSEVES for cryin out loud!

Does Jan not know that Tammy Faye Bakker was a joke in part because of the way she looked? I don't get why she is deliberately trying to look like TFB.

With apologies to the late, great Charles Schulz and his family, and in the words of his alter ego, Charlie Brown, "AARRRGHH!!" TMI!! Anyone have an unneeded spare burka and veil lying around?? Blue jeans burkas, maybe?? Or should I quickly look on eBay??

And for a long time I wondered why I was in no hurry for a satellite dish or for cable TV!

    Now
    I know!
