Board Game

    What is your favorite board game?

    The one I play the best is Scrabble. Not sure it is my favorite, though.

    Cranium; you have a partner and depending on the question you either draw with eyes open and sometimes closed, mold clay, or act out a person to get you partner to guess the answer.
    Taboo; have to get your partner to guess a word without saying a list of five words.
    i.e. "husband" but can't say husband, wife, marriage, couple or parents. It's fun. :D :D

    I don't play scrabble, but it holds a special place in my heart. My grandmother was an avid scrabble player. She wrote notes in the margin of her dictionary to help her with scrabble. I still have that dictionary.

    I enjoy Scrabble, but NOT FOR POINTS. Play if for the joy of making great words, not trying to foil other players' positioning on Double Word Score, etc.

    And I play it with 9 tiles in the rack, not 7. Unless I am cleverly interweaving a word in/between two or three others, I always require minimum of 6 letter words.

    Try it someday and you'll never go back . . .

    I played Cranium a few weeks ago. It was lots of fun with a big group.

    The all-time greatest board-game has to be Risk. All you need it 2-3 guys (somehow women seem reluctant to get involved in this game) and a weekend to kill! That may seem long, but hey, not even Alexander the Great conquered the world in a weekend.

    Scrabble is my Game! I've challenged my best friend's mom to a game, but we haven't been able to play yet. I've beat my mom by over 200 points before. I have a horrible habit of studying the Q and Z pages in the dictionary. I have the scrabble deluxe game, which is great because no one has to read the board upside down and the letters don't get moved if someone accidentally bumps the board. I used to like Monopoly, but I'm kind of tired of it.

    Hey! I used to play a pretty good game of chess, long time ago. Any way to play over the net?? I know it'd be slow, but my wife say's that's my best speed! :D :rolleyes:

    Naturally it is a Bible word. Would I use any other in the presence of such a distinguished gentleman, "The Preacher?" ;)
