    http://www.truthout.org/article/book-says-white-house-ordered-iraq-wmd-forgery

A new book by the author Ron Suskind claims that the White House ordered the CIA to forge a back-dated, handwritten letter from the head of Iraqi intelligence to Saddam Hussein.
Suskind writes in "The Way of the World," to be published Tuesday, that the alleged forgery - adamantly denied by the White House - was designed to portray a false link between Hussein's regime and al Qaeda as a justification for the Iraq war.
The author also claims that the Bush administration had information from a top Iraqi intelligence official "that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - intelligence they received in plenty of time to stop an invasion."

Why Bush will not be allowed to leave the country

I would not be surprised if this was a Vice Presidents Office Operation with little information going to the President other than just implement a plan to get the end
justify the means. In my opinion the worst administration that took advantage of a nation hit hard by terrorism Al Qaeda and Domestic(Anthrax) to manipulate a nation to war in Iraq and diminish the powers of Congress.

Suskind is very good at sourcing and says he has 150 sources in the latest book which would not surprise me because people jumping ship at the White House. He will be on tomorrow in the CNN"Situation Room" . The White House and CIA are pushing back with the standard quotes we have seen and heard talked to death.

Just a note a book by Bob Woodward from the Washington Post is right on the heels of this book with claims of more bombshells.

Just when John McCain was hoping George Bush would go away he is thrust back into the limelight.

Some people are gullible enough to believe anything, and some people will say anything to sell a book. Remember, this guy is trying to make money selling books. That doesn't mean he is wrong. But I certainly wouldn't trust him any farther than i could throw him.

If this was true, it is doubtful it would have been hidden this long.

Let me speculate as well! I would not be surprised if this was a total fabrication by persons outside government for the purpose of discrediting the war of terror and to generate increased book sales. Perhaps they used Dan Rathernot's artist for the work or is this one more professional?

Could be but probably not. I suspect that this will be only the tip of the iceberg in revelations about the deceptive deeds that were going on in the Bush Administration. But that is just me speculating as well.

The book will probably be a great success. Bush haters will love it.

All it lacks is any kind of valid authentication...otherwise known as proof.

    Suskind's personal animosity is evident.

Susskind has recorded all of his interviews and the book contains lots of footnotes. Looks like he covered all his bases.

So he identifies who "claimed" what.

    Proving exactly nothing.

    From the OP:

    claims that the White House
    the alleged forgery
    author also claims
    According to Suskind
    The book suggests
    The author claims
The particular source that Suskind cites offered no evidence to back up his assertion

    Yep.

    Bush haters will love it.

He has only claims by himself and others, no proof at all. His sources offer no proof. He just repeats their claims.

When someone comes forward with facts and proof, I'll read it.

I wouldn't waste my time on this one, but then I'm not a Bush hater.

Chow down, Buddy! Meat for the bush haters.

The object is to sell books and it seems to work. The wilder the claim the better the sales. Just tell them what they want to hear and they'll buy it. There are a lot of authors doing this. This way they can quote each other and give themselves credibility. Once published it takes on higher merit than the speculation from whence it came.

Carpo, The proof is he recorded his conversations. Hey I'm sorry you did waste your time on this one but then again I thought this is the stuff you like to waste your drivel on. Read the book and prove it wrong.
    Dream on Bushbot.

Proves absolutely nothing except someone made an allegation the author can't verify so he publishes it without any proof.

    Great journalism.

But Bush haters galore will eagerly lap it up. Translates into book sales. Translates into money for the auther.

What does the Bush hater get?

The illusion that their hate is validated.

Seems like everybody is out to get poor ole George these days.

There's enough documented evidence out there now against Bush and the NWO that these kinds of allegations aren't even worth arguing over. Let's all go hear what the Pentagon's "message force multipliers" are saying on Faux Snews instead. They'll never lie to us. :wavey:

Because it would be asking them to engage in a formal (logical) fallacy trying to prove a negitive (that they did not do such and such, when no one has proven that such and such actually happened). There are only empty accusations up to this point.

Besides that, Mike Barnacle is a partisian hack. He was run outta Boston for this type of "journalism.....

The same deal with the Rathergate memos, say something that can't be proved, either way, forge some documents, and ask why he won't answer.....
