I am down to the last bit of disposing my library.

The problem I have is what to do with:

Hymnals - single copies given to me long ago by former churches that have the name of the church embossed on some of them. Of the ten or so left, they are generally in good condition, but useless to everyone. Do they go in the trash can?

Bibles - I have Bibles that my father and mother owned that go back to the early 1900's. They tape - attached the covers when the covers no longer were attached. They are great for nostalgia, but otherwise useless to me. Do they go in the trash can?

How do you throw away God's word?

How do you throw away music that glorifies God?

What did / do you do with your "stuff?"

I heard a preacher who said he knew a pastor who made a deal with the local funeral home. Each funeral, would have a few torn up or out of date hymnals and left over "lost from their owner" Bibles tucked into the casket (out of sight) before viewing. I suppose those folks were truly buried with Christ. :)

You can donate them to a goodwill or salvation army second hand store

You could burn them. I think that is a respectable way to destroy them rather than throwing them in the trash.

Are you throwing away theology books? If so what ones? I may want some of them.

    Zambia needs those books :)

I sent you an email with Pastor Simon's email adress. He is interested in using those Bibles and hymnals in the church and mission in Zambia. I hope you can contact him and work something out. Shalom!
