Yes, exactly. I likewise have similar deeply held personal choices. I don't call upon others to participate. I have neither the moral authority to think ill of those who don't, nor is it a moral imperative that I join others in their like personal decisions.

I'm done with them. This is sort of a last straw.

Besides I can stand to save the money...and waist expansion. :)

I've never had ben and jerry's, it's not only too expensive, it isn't sugar free, and I'm pretty strict on the sugar free.
edit, ok, just read the link, if I bought ben and jerry's I wouldn't after seeing this.

I love ice cream, especially Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry's, although both are very expensive. I usually buy Kroger Select since it is good (every bit as good as Blue Bell, IMO) and inexpensive. I don't participate in boycotts very often, so it will have no bearing on my ice cream purchases.

Now as far as beer is concerned, nothing beats a good Michelob!

I haven't had any good ice cream in 8 years and I've NEVER had B&Js.

I love Ben & Jerry's and will continue to eat it as much as I currently do, which is very rarely, due to the cost. I love Blue Bell, but it isn't distributed to stores in Colorado. :tear: Blue Bunny is pretty good, as is Safeway Select. One thing about Blue Bell is that it is still a full half gallon.

I don't usually boycott, but the one thing I won't buy is a Mitsubishi product, since they built the Zero planes that bombed Pearl Harbor.

Being an ice cream "wino," my current "Mad Dog" equivalent is the cheap Albertson's chocolate chip.

Same here. I am not a huge fan of Ben and Jerry's. They are typically over priced and aren't nearly as good as Haagen Dazs

This thread reminded me to buy some Ben & Jerry's today at Wal-Mart. It's good stuff. :)

Seriously? What if they had Hooker Hash? How about Pornography Pistachio? Murder M&M Sunday?? If they promoted any other sin, would you support it?

    How about "Wolf killer"... ??

How Christians can give money to Satan's causes baffles me. But it's their money.. they will have to give an account one day.. As will I.

    1) What are you talking about? I have never seen any such ice cream flavors at Wal-Mart in the Ben & Jerry's section of the freezer.

    2) As has already been pointed out Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is no longer owned by Ben and Jerry. It is now owned by Unilever. So whatever might be those two men's political views I don't see how that has any relevance now.

What has relevance is the fact that they are celebrating sin in an ice cream flavor. I didn't like Ben & Jerry before but the company continues to support the same issues they did before so I feel the same way about them as I did before.

Since I am trusting in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's substitutionary life and death on my behalf and the grace of God I have no worries in that area. I hope that you and my fellow Christians don't either. Worry is not something that God wants us to have in our lives.

Again, I have never, ever seen such ice cream flavors and if I did I would not buy such ice cream flavors.

Here is a link to all of their flavors. There are six pages of them. I don't see any flavor like you have mentioned.

But Hubby Hubby is just fine with you.

    Is homosexuality a sin?

Ahhh - you missed it. It's been renamed Hubby Hubby and it has a picture of a male gay couple on it.

THAT could be the issue here!

Oh, okay, thanks for letting me know, Pastor Mitchell.

    1) That is only in Vermont. I don't think selling a carton with that name on it would sell well in Arkansas.

    2) I am opposed to the idea of homosexual "marriage". I don't believe there can be such a thing regardless of what a person calls such a relationship. A marriage can only exist in actuality between a man and a woman. I support the separation of marriage and state.

    3) If Christians are going to advocate boycotting any company that hires a homosexual or an adulterer or a fornicator or someone who practices any sin that makes us recoil then there wouldn't be very many companies that we could purchase products from - if any at all. I don't see the point in picking out one company and not giving the same treatment to the thousands of other companies.
