Breaking the Vicious Cycle: Preserving Our Liberties While Fighting Terrorism

While it sounds so patriotic, it is a formula for destruction. A democracy provides for mob rule and this mob has been told that each and every one of us will surely suffer immeasurable pain and grief if we allow any information gathering that can in any way be construed to be an infringement of our rights.

This Cato institute is furthering that delusion, and terrorists everywhere, watch with eager anticipation, the outcome. They already see the direction we're headed.

 

As things are now it is too hard for terrorists to penetrate our domestic defenses with enough certainty of success, and they are waiting for a better climate, knowing change in their favor is on the way.
