In this age of live mass communication, I certainly hope that new believers take a little time to become grounded in their faith before becoming a public spokesperson for Christ in the mass media. There is a warning in scripture against making novices leaders in the church. There is wisdom in nuturing new believers in their faith before they go out and face the world (and the self-righteous judgmental church) in the name of Christ.

I believe that it is obvious that Joseph, Blackbird, and those like them, would be sorely disappointed if Spears actually started to embrace faith in Christ. This should not be surprising, this has been the stance many fundamentalist have had over the years concerning anyone in the entertainment field who supposedly comes to Christ.

Let me specify that I have no idea if she actually has become a Christian or not; however, I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

 

Our news channel had shown film of Brittney and her mother leaving a hospital two days in a row after visits with some specialists. Sometimes the Lord uses illness to bring us back to him. Maybe either she or her mother had a health scare.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if she were to become an amazing Christian and were to witness openly about the change in her life!

No, not yet, but I'm hoping.

I don't want to leave it this way though.
Personally I have been disappointed with some of the "conversions" that we have heard about.

After about 2 years, I'm still hoping that Jane Fonda will come around. Has anyone heard how she is doing?
