Burger King commercial... Big... Bucking... Chicken...

If true, there will be a lawsuit.

I've never heard the Don Moen song. I don't listen to Christian rock We have seen the commercial several times. It's so stupid, we can't help but sing along.

 

Yes, if it can be proven that an Integrity Hossana! Praise Chorus has been abused in this way there will be a lawsuit...

One of the stated reason for Christian Copyrights is so that the original intent can not be changed or the song misrepresented...

If there is no action by Integrity Music...

Then I will seriously doubt that they are not profit motivated because such a lack of action would imply they gave permission at a price...

Though completely pointless, this commercial is catchy.

I asked the subservient chicken if he is the big buckin' chicken and he bowed. I guess they are one in the same.

I noticed it sounds like a praise chorus. I don't know if it is really that similar to the song you mentioned, I can't fit it in my head, but I haven't really listened to praise choruses since I got out of college. I don't know if it's modeled on that praise chorus in particular, praise choruses in general, or even praise choruses at all. I think they were just aiming for a song of adoration, and that's what they got! I thought it was amusing.

 

Integrity is pretty aggressive about copyright infringements.

If BK did that, Integrity will go after them.

I'm with D28...the chicken looks a bit possessed to me. Makes me want a burger.

Burger King is the king of creepy commercials. They started with that creepy king peering in the windows, and now big bucking chicken. Just too creepy for me. And now Quaker Oats is getting in on creepiness...they have a big Quaker guy similar to the king.

No doubt about that. The creepiest one was the guy waking up and finding the creepy king occupying the other side of the bed.

 

Am I the only one that thought this commercial was only one letter away from vulgur profanity? "Big Bucking Chicken"

Now, all we need to do is tie this commercial to Calvinism/Arminianism and EVERYONE will have some fun with it!

This has all the makings of a BB scandal...

-"Christian Rock"
-"bucking" is not in the KJB, so it's wrong
-BK is open on Sunday...the mark of the beast?
-Did God have foreknowledge of "big bucking chickens?"
-this was released very close to Brokeback mountain...possible gay agenda?

Hmm, it doesn't appear to talk but it's a giant, sentient chicken. Chickens are associated with the occult, and its huge size and intelligence is definitely unnatural. Add promoting witchcraft to the list!

 

Seeing as how that used to be one of the most used word in my vocab before I was saved...that's all I think of when I hear the stupid commercial. My guess is that is what they were trying to sound like. I just turn the station when it comes on.

I've got, I dunno, 15-20 Hosanna cds collecting dust. Haven't listened to them for a while but I think you are right there, the ad's style could have been taken straight from one of them....I couldn't name a specific song though because they just about all sound the same anyway

I guess the possible explanations are: The ad is taken straight from a Hosanna song, with costs of a possible court case weighed against all the extra publicity...Or it was just copying the style to stir up some Christians and get publicity without expense of a court case...Or maybe Hosanna Music are just expanding their business?


Whatever....I know those Hosanna cds I've got sitting there will have to sit a lot longer now or I'll hear "Big bucking chicken" when plug them in
