    I did include Stevens, in my remarks, and I did not include William Jefferson, because he, did not quit, or not run again, but was defeated at the ballot box, this past November.
    David Vitter is a sitting Senator, hence not be a a theoretical case, as were all the others I mentioned. {Edited to add.}I apologize for not reading the post closely, to realize you were not addressing me. However, I had posted it, already, and am not the sort to remove one, after I have posted it, even if I should not have done so. I do not necessarily believe that to be the case, here.

    You are right, I hope the fact that Jefferson and Stevens lost reelection is a sign that people won't tolerate their kind on the hill any longer...
