Bush, Fox Discuss Mexico Border Security
    The Associated Press
    Monday, February 20, 2006; 12:13 PM

MILWAUKEE -- President Bush and President Vicente Fox of Mexico exchanged ideas Monday on how to stop violence and improve security along the two countries' mutual border, the White House said.

Press secretary Scott McClellan said that Bush telephoned Fox while traveling here to give a speech and said the pair "talked about working together" to improve conditions that have been a source of friction between the two countries.

McClellan told reporters that Bush has designated Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to talk to his counterpart in Mexico about the problem and said that Bush and Fox also talked about pending immigration legislation in Congress.

Late last year, Washington dispatched federal agents to Texas to combat violent crime along the Mexican border.

In August, U.S. and Mexican officials had traded accusations over who is to blame for problems in border security.

How on earth is it our fault. If we secure the borders with better fencing we are accused of building a wall just like they did in Berlin . If illegals cross and die of dehydration or starvation on our soil it is our fault for letting it happen.Thugs cross over into our country and set up shop, kill our Law Enforcement Officials and our citizens and we are wrong to want to extradite these thugs back into our country to carry out justice.
Mexico and The U.S. do not think alike ,obviously, and I don't think we could ever come up with a practical solution that would suit Mexico.

The three amigos have already settled on a solution Rocko9. Make em all legal. Only thing is we the people aren't laying down for it. I'm happy to say!

That leaves them with the only option open to them. Fund the radical racist groups like La Raza (The Race) more let the crisis build to full blown chaos and race war then bring order through military action.

Serves a couple problems they have. It will further condition us to multinational troops being on US soil and they'll end up making them legal anyway. The King of Spain isn't building toll roads through Texas for nothing you know.

    Order out of chaos.

poncho, got any documentation about the King of Spain and Texas toll roads?

What will be interesting, though a lot of blood shedding which these great masterminds haven't thought of, is when the Mexicans who want the land back they believe was stolen from them in the Spanish-American war, confront the Muslim blacks and other Muslims who want control of all of America. I believe we are in for another civil war sooner rather than later.

Back on topic, Bush had promised Vincente Fox an open border before 09/11. Then 09/11 happened and put the plan on the back burner temporarily. In the meantime, all attention was focused on Iraq until the Minutemen decided to take matters head on. That brought some national attention back to our borders and others, finally some of the major media, jumped on the bandwagon.

The plan is still the same between Vincente Fox and Bush - nothing has changed. We will continue to have open borders. And the very FEW elected officials who try to do something about it, like Tom Tancredo, are considered Pariahs by the GOP/Administration.

Maybe Cintra/Zachery would be interested in a contract to build a fence too.

I figure this petition is more O'Reilly flash to dazzle the majority of Americans that are for secure borders than to move Bush to a sane policy. If the poll numbers showed the globalists were ahead on this issue he'd be clicking his heels in favor of Bush's failing Reich Security and amnesty plan.

Fox News is being beaten badly by the free press and he hopes to keep his ratings up in other words. It will come to nothing in the end imho.

Does that mean the Fox is guarding the hen house?

Build a fence. Great idea. We could outsource the work to China or India to save a few bucks or better yet we could promise amnesty to a few illegal immigrants that already sneaked across the border and hire them. Everybody knows they'll work for less money than greedy Americans and besides Americans are too lazy and think hard work like that is beneath them.

Each year, roughly 400 people die during unauthorized border crossings, according to Mexican officials: 431 in 2004 and 373 in 2004. Most die of thirst or exposure to the elements on the dangerous journey. Some 46 percent of unauthorized migrants to the United States are women and children. And, as the United States increases border patrols, more Mexicans are turning to people-smugglers, or "coyotes," and paying increasingly higher fees to be taken across the border. The increased traffic--and a thriving drug trade by Mexican criminal syndicates--has led to a spike in violence along the border. Border patrol agents have been attacked more than 190 times since October 2005, according to a story in the New York Times
    ___________________________________________
Our Border Patrol has been attacked over 190 times since October 2005!
Wars have been declared for less than this!
Our Border Patrol sees about as much action as our troops do in Iraq.
We should add another slogan to the American mantra, not only shoud we "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS"
we should also be declaring 'SUPPORT OUR BORDER PATROL".

But all's been calm and quiet as far as the mainstream media is concerned. Hmpfh. Imagine that.
