Since the constitutional standard is high crimes and misdemeanors, then I don't see what either of them has done to merit even the consideration.

In a time of war it would be disastrous. The enemy would see it as a victory. It would be crushing on the military's morale.

I would support the idea but I don't see it happening. All of the power that President Bush has unconstitutional grabbed is very bad for these United States.

The nation would be better off if each president had the constant threat of impeachment hanging like the Sword of Damocles over his head.

I oppose it, but I can see the possibility of it due to the liberals being in control of Congress.

Agreed - incompetence is not grounds for impeachment.

Can anyone tell me what he has done to even consider impeachment?

I believe that it is just one more in a series of evil ploys by the dems to win back the White House in 08.

Do you think there are any evil ploys by the reps to keep the White House in 08?

Impeachment should be for "high crimes and misdemeanors." I haven't heard any charges against the President and Vice-President reach these.

People opined that dems would use impeachment in retalliation for Clinton's impeachment. I thought this was a stretch. I was wrong.

Welcome to 21st century politics. :tear:

I disagree with you here. Today to many people wants the government to do things for them, which they can and should do for themselves.
Half of our country wants to make rules and laws for the other half and they don't want to obey the laws they disagree with.
If God won't do for us what we can and should do for our selves, why should the government?
We have been in a hand out country for 60 or 70 years or more and it is growing.
I recall about half of our people didn't want us to get into WW2 and everything for then on as far as war goes. If the fight isn't over in weeks, we want to get out.
In my life time only Harry S. Truman was willing to fight a war to win in WW2 by dropping the bombs on Japan, but wanting to fight a holding action and not a war in Korea. That is the only kind of fighting we have done from that time on.

The Republicans in a defensive position. Hiding under tables is stupid not evil. Instead the Republicans should take the offense. One of the many dems evil ploys is putting our troops in more danger by the games that they are playing with funding.

High crimes? I didn't know either of them were getting high these days.

They still have plenty of time...don't count them out yet. After all, you can only trust them as far as you can throw them.

The whole idea of impeachment is ridiculous any way. Disagreeing politically is not a high crime or misdameanor (unless you are a liberal who hates conservatives of course).
