Amy Goodman, host of Pacifica Radio's "Democracy Now!", vows to continue fighting the real enemy despite facial paralysis.
She relates that her outspoken leftist pals George Clooney, Ralph Nader, and Joe Wilson have likewise been suddenly struck with Bell's palsy. Bill Clinton has said that quite a few of his acquaintances have suffered from the same ailment.

So are you claiming that if you criticize Bush you get Bell's Palsey? Absurd!

Bell's Palsy is not quite as dramatic as being struck by lightning, but boy...

My sister has Bell's palsey, and she voted for Bush. So I guess this implication doesn't stand.

==Is this like the so-called "Poltergiest curse" or the idea that an anti-KJVO guy lost his voice on the Ankerberg show? All of these type things are bogus. The guy did not lose his voice (he coughed) and there was no curse on the cast of the Poltergiest movie (several cast members were critically ill before production). Bell's Palsy is not an uncommon "event". In fact it is estimated that around 40,000 Americans are affected by Bell's Palsy each year. Therefore it would not surprise me that someone in a high profile position would know several people have have been affected by Bell's Palsy.

Myself, and I am not high profile at all, know of two people.

I will be having surgery next Wednesday for a torn rotator cuff. I don't think that my opposition to the big government/foreign adventurism policies of President Bush contributed to it.

It has to do with bone spurs that over time have caused a tear in my right shoulder. (Ouch!)

It might slow down my posting my oppostion to President Bush's big government/foreign adventurism for a few days. But I'll be back. Typing will be an activity I'll be able to get back into quickly. :)

Using my Bowflex will take a while to get back to using.
