Exactly one of the reasons I will never vote for a Bush type candidate again. This guy fooled me twice, so shame on me. As a country, we get the exact caliber of leader we deserve.

He got me twice as well too and you're right, a country gets the leadership it deserves.

While I agree with both of you in deserving the President we get, we did vote, (me twice also) for what we thought was a conservative Republican, who, by the second vote, was pandering to the leftists big time. We are always going to be susceptible to dishonesty in life. All we have to go on is past performance, and their own words. I believe our nations moral values are now so corrupted, that we'll not get another good leader, nor congress. We do get what we deserve. And, if you remember, we had no other choice.

I agree with your sentiments but disagree on the choice issue. We had other choices...

Bush is considerably shorter that Kerry, so we did choose the lesser.

    J. Kerry was not a viable choice for me.

George W Bush and John Kerry were not the only candidates running. Where would we be if the people had voted for Michael Badnarik or Michael Peroutka rather than voting for the lesser of two weevils?

Bush never really moved to the left. He's always been very pro-business and more socially liberal than his speeches let on.

Bush really shows his hypocricy on this issue.
Libby judged by his peers--sentence commuted.

Agents judged by thier peers ( and the prosecution may have witheld some evidence)-- NADA!
Agents deserve nothing less than a full pardon.

Neither Badnarik nor Peroutka promised us instant security in exchange for our liberties. Guess we prefer the promise of safety from a militarized police/security/surviellance state to freedom.

Yeah, me too. His view toward the "new world order" is becoming undeniable.

Looking back, it is absolutely amazing that out of 300 million Americans, some quite talented, kind, smart, and have leadership ability, that we end up with the two finalists that we got in 2004.

This is a real dilemma. What is a conservative to do when the Republican lies about his true stripes and ends up as bad as the Democrat? Is the answer to keep electing Bush type Republicans?

    Agreed.

Information on sentencing guidelines was witheld from the jury resulting, I believe , in a much longer sentence than they would have received otherwise.

President Bush should, at a minimum, commute their sentences. A full pardon is more in order.

With the worst of the two evils.

A traitor, John Kerry, would be president.
