    Who is the NSA officer? What are his political leanings? What organizations are her tied to? Why is it only Olberman (who has no credibility) is the only one giving this guy the time of day? Who else can substantiate his story?


    Until these and other questions are answered this is just a story by one person and means very little.

    It may yet all come out, however if the telcos had not been given immunity it would be easier to do discovery on this. The government working in secret is not a hallmark of a democratic society. It is also interesting that the biggest defenders of this big brother style of government tend to be those who claim a desire for limited government.

    OOOhhh did we touch a nerve? I was referring to people I have heard on rightie talk shows callers and hosts on programs such as Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin. I have even heard Levin himself defending warrantless wiretaps of US citizens.

    I don't know if he has or will, but Bush began it. It is NEVER silly to criticize violating the trust of the American people and our freedom to be secure in our homes.

    NSA computers scan all communications for key words and phrases. If I knew what they were I would put some in my signature line. If everyone did we could overload the system.

    This just shows the lack of integrity in the Bush administration. Couple this with the exaggerations used to invade Iraq and we see the Bush style of government.

    Magnetic Poles, you are correct. The hypocrisy of some of our conservative posters concerning this issue as it relates to governmental intrusion is astounding!

    National defense is specifically outlined in the constitution. Welfare and income stealing is not.
