Michelle:I have a question for you: Are you telling me and others, that we MUST accept the modern versions?

See how quickly I answer YOUR questions? Why can't you answer mine???

Answer: No, Ma'm, I'm NOT telling anyone which version(s) he/she should use. That's between each believer and GOD. It's none of my business.I'm telling you that the myth that the KJV is the ONLY valid English Bible translation is a false doctrine and a blatant lie. It's the KJVO who tries to tell others what version to use & what versions not to use. That IS my business, as a Christian.BY WHOSE AUTHORITY do they do that???

Granny Gumbo:But robycop3~people have given you an answer, myself included, but you chose not to hear...or understand. Maybe you're incapable of understanding?

Sorry, Ma'm, but there's not one word in the Scriptures you posted supporting ANY Onlyism, let alone a version-specific onlyism such as KJVO.

And unlike those whom Jesus addressed, I can answer any KJVO question asked of me. I've provided *PROOF* of the falsehood of KJVO, and I haven't been alone in doing it. The fact is, the KJVO simply cannot state any valid reason why he/she believes such a myth, nor give us the source of their authority to advocate it. That's what I understand.

Cranston Cranston Cranston, when oh when will you stop with this foolish game?

When will you show us the proof that supports your man made view? Where are the Scriptures that say anything about God having His word in conflicting versions? Where is the command in Scripture to bean Alsoist, or a whateverist, or even a multi-versionist? Book, chapter and verses with the exact commands in them please. Anything less proves you hold to the mv double standard and have as your authority your own will and wishes.

Of course, since you can't be honest enough and go to bed when you say you are, we won't trust you to be honest with this either.

I assume that you are planning on a career in D.C. and this is where you are getting your practice?

At last THE AUTHORITY you were looking for:

Romans 17:12 (RRB = ruckman rewrites the Bible)
When the moon is in the seventh house,
    when Jupiter aligns with Mars,
then peace will rule the planets
and Love will steer the Starts.

Romans 17:13 (RRB = ruckman rewrites the Bible)
The Bible for the Age of Aquarius
starting in 1986 will be the
    King Iames Uersion, seventh refinement
    of 1762.

Actually, Ed, I thought it'd be:

"I'd like to thank the man...
    Who wrote the song...
That made my baby fall in love with meee...

Who put the bom in the bom pa bom b bom?
Who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?"

Still, nothing but spin & silence from the KJVOs....

"A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;"

    No wisdom like silence, eh?

By whose authority? What are we sitting around and waiting for? The KJO sect has no authority except for their foolish imagination. Do you really think that they are going to come right out and tell us that? :D

By what authority do the Mormons say that the Book of Mormon is Scripture? By exactly the same authority that the KJO sect says that the King James translation of the Bible, and only the King James translation of the Bible, is the perfect Word of God.

Uh, I realize I'm jumping in a little late and have not read the rest of this thread, but I do have a question. If God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, what makes 1611 so special?
