ROSEVILLE, Calif. – "Brides" and "grooms" are no longer allowed to marry in the State of California.

That privilege is only extended to individuals who allow themselves to be called "Party A" and "Party B" on marriage licenses.

Pastor Doug Bird of Abundant Life Fellowship in Roseville, Calif., was alarmed to find the state now rejects the traditional terms after he officiated his first marriage ceremony last week following the California Supreme Court decision to overturn Proposition 22.

The couple had written the words "bride" and "groom" next to "Party A" and "Party B" because they wanted to be legally recognized as husband and wife.

However, the Placer County marriage license was denied.

"I received back the license and a letter from the Placer County Clerk/Recorder stating that the license 'does not comply with California State registration laws,'" Bird said in a statement from the Pacific Justice Institute.

That is just about one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. But I expect it to get worse, especially once someone, as claimed, repeals doma, if that someone gets chance that is.

Yep. Here's my prediction. Next in California. . .Party A may kiss Party B and Party C, then Parties B and C may kiss each other. . .

What this country needs is for a real big fissure to open up along the Cali border and let the entire state drift west to about 100 miles from the coast of China before it stops. Let there be a warning ala' the flood warning to Noah's jeering neighbors so's the normal folk could escape East of the border first. In all likelihood the fruitcake types would just ignore it and go with the land mass into the setting sun - maybe!

Hopefully they would have very little influence from that distance.

It's not just California. Legal marriage between same sex people is possible in Mass. and Vermont just passed a law that they will recognize these marriages from Mass.

Also, out in this area, a law just passed in Montgomery County (right outside Wash DC) banning discrimination against transgendered people. This means that transgender people can use any bathroom because a transgendered woman was quoted as saying, "I'm so glad now that I can take my children into the public bathroom.". That is, a transgendered woman can use the ladies room. As I understand it, a transgendered woman can be dressed as a woman but still have the male equipment.

I am not sharing a public bathroom with a man! I don't care what clothes
he has on or what ungodly name he calls himself.

Just use the men's room when in San Francisco. You'll be safe.
