Shame on California for usurping the plain will of the people.

A possible 'conversation' between a person applying for a license and a clerk, yesterday.

    Clerk: "Are you g*y?"

Male 'Party A': "No, but my b*yfriend is!"

    :tear:

This thread should be moved to the "Current Events" forum, IMO.

I don't have a problem with clerks obeying the law, which is what clerks are supposed to do, but I am curious as to why they won't wait for the November election. What is going to happen if the referendum passes and same sex marriage is again illegal? What are they going to do with all the folks who had at the time, legal licenses? Are they going to grandfather them in, pretend they didn't happen? Seems to me like it would save everyone a huge headache if they just waited a few months.

The court wouldn't let them wait.

The "wicked homosexual agenda" is to cram accpetance of their sinful conduct down our throats by force of law.

It should be illegal in the whole country, and any homosexual marriages not viewed as marriages. Or are we going to accept what God condemns?

Tis a Sad Day in the History of this Once Great State!

Californians voted overwhelmingly to not allow same-sex marriages, but, the justices of this state saw it within their will to over ride the majority vote. This was a sad day in the life and times of Californians.

When nature hits this West Coast Fairyland, I hope He sends His angels to protect the people who voted against same-sex marriages four years ago! :tonofbricks:
There is very little going on across this once proud, great nation that even vaguely resembles what I remember to be the America I grew up in 50+ years ago.

Tis a sad day across this state, and throughout America. God has been removed from the classrooms, courthouses, and now the act of marriage. Just how far down this cesspool of greed, filth, hate, and corruption will we have to go until He comes back and takes us home with Him?

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

I highlighted the last sentence for brevity and well said Donna. However, there are some professing Christians on this board who would apparently accept it and seemingly promote it, as they oppose anything which opposes gay marriage.

Woe to those to make the Bible relevant upon their own terms! It also makes no sense someone could accept Jesus as their Savior but doubt or diminish His word.
