    Here is a good & short article pointing out (accurately I believe) the importance of sound Calvinist doctrine in furthering true revival and the destructive and often misleading effects of Arminianism/Semi-Pelagianism.

    Southern, that could be an interesting read. Iain Murrays's Revival and Revivailism is a classic. It deals with the history of Calvinist revival (and decline) in America.
