Calvinists ... and the Bride

    What is the view of Calvinists on the teaching of the Bridegroom (the Lord Jesus Christ) and the Bride (who will be the Wife of the Lord Jesus)?

    I have been studying the teaching on the Bridegroom and the Bride, and it seems that there are some conflicting issues between this teaching and Calvinism.

    So, if you are a Calvinist, what do you know of the Bridegroom and Bride teaching? If you know of this teaching, how does it apply to Calvinism?

    Do Calvinists teach anything about the Bridegroom and the Bride?
    This teaching has some direct conflicts with core Calvinist beliefs.

    In what way? That seems to be more of a Landmark Baptist issue. All Calvinists I know believe that all who are believers in Christ will be part of Christ Bride.

    I'm not a Calvinist but I'm pretty sure they also believe the bride is the church (believers).

    Arminias believe the church is made up of whosoever believes.

    Calvinists believe the church is made up of whosoever God has chosen to believe.

    What conflicts are you referring to? I'm interested to know.

    How can all believers be part of the bride? To what degree is this symbolic? Are the children of a marriage the same as the bride?
