Fill in the blank. Many men and women fought and died for this country and the constitution it represents. The founders of this country formed our constitution to prevent the state from determining our religion. The hateful thread that was started should be removed. What will be next? Shall we remove all muslims from America? How about all the non Christians? What religious or people group will be next? How about them Calvinists? How dare them be ministers or even think of spreading the Gospel.....? Especially Baptist ministers....... we all know that all Baptist ministers are non Calvinist, and have always been such.
It is beyond my comprehension that people here can not see the danger of this type of attitude. To have moderators who can actively promote such a hateful thread is beyond me. I suppose it is the freedom that I am saying we need to protect, that is the same freedom that moderators can use to promote a hateful thread such as "Can a "good" Muslim be a good American". I give up! I have tried to have a "good" attitude on this bb. I hated the way I felt about some of my fellow members on this bb. I prayed to God to change the way I felt. He did. It is such hate as this that makes me want to stay away from the bb. I guess i'm addicted.....lol. Why don't you mods do me a favor and ban me? Where are the mod police?

I wish someone would post "what is the point of these threads".

I am a Christian and I served my Country honorable, I pay my taxes and I work to try to keep government as honest as I can, being I am just one. I think this makes me a "good" American, also. Don't you agree?

You don't need to be banned Reformed, you state your position on here and that is what it is all about. We learn by pushing each other. We just need to accept it as a way of learning and not hating. I fought hard with most on here but I hate no one.

    Reformed,
I appreciate you brother and I appreciate your heart for the Muslim people and I am confident your exchange student will have a wonderful Christian home during her stay. However, the question of can a "Good Muslim be a Good American" is a fair and valid question. Same as can a good Jesuit, Zionist or Atheist or fill in the blank.

"We have no government armed in power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." - John Adams

What did John Adams mean by the above statement? Did he believe that we could import heathens from every land and think that we could sustain our Constitution? Most folks agree, for various reasons, that this nation is on life-support at best. How did we get here? I'm not about to pin everything on Muslims, as my primary bad guy is a dude that wears a fish hat and folks that chase after him. However, I do believe that Islam is one of the daughters of this harlot. Thus, can a Protestant / Baptist Constitutional Republic stand, when they are outnumbered by folks that do not maintain the same morality and religion that John Adams was referring to?

I don't think you need to be banned, but sometimes this board can frustrate the bejeebers out of the best of folks. It may be edifying to you to just step away from the keyboard for a bit and return when you might see this issue from a more calm perspective.

As to the moderation of this board; I have been on a few and kicked off of a few for my fringe beliefs. I have not found a board that is more open to the freedom of expression (with a Christian bias of course) than this board. The moderators get to express their opinions just like everyone else and though I disagree vehemently with a few of 'em (hi PL), I have yet to see them use their moderator role to force their world view on others and control speech in an abusive fashion.

Just my thoughts and I pray they edify ya...grace and peace.

Can you discern hatred of a religion from hatred from a person. I don't hate anyone. But I do hate a Satan inspired religion that damns people to Hell and encourages its children to blow themself up in the name of their religion. I hope you can see the difference.

You are still at it! If any of that were true, we might agree with you.

Now again, please tell us what it is that makes you think that Islam is responsible for these peoples' actions, rather than those people themselves.

I have heard you say earlier that there are other ways to Heaven and I just peaked at your profile and you say that you hope to get to Heaven?

Show me that Islam doesn't teach that.
Do you know what a "madrassah" is?
