The Christ I serve said we are saved with an everlasting salvation and a salvation that changes us that we may know we are saved. His Spirit bears witness with our spirit, We ARE children of God, we ARE sealed unto the day of redemtion, we ARE joint-heirs with Christ.

ALL of these are difinitive in their gramatical meanings as to the nature of what has happened. WE ARE...and there is NO doubt of our salvation and it's security that is ETERNAL from the moment it began.

    Disappointment

I am sorry to disappoint you only believers will be saved not those who are blown by the wind back and forth, but those who endure to the end. You cannot accept one scripture and deny another.

Only believers who endure to the end are sealed by the Holy Spirit and God knew from the beginning who they are.

Do not let men give you a false hope, trust in Jesus and you will not be disappointed.

We believe and trust in Jesus and wait for the comming of the Holy Spirit, the power from on high. We are to wait on God.

Do not think you will not be tested by the fire first before you receive the Holy Spirit

So you don't believe you are saved from the moment you called out to God in Faith but that you are wieghed on God scales to see if you have truly done enough to be found worthy to be called one who has endured AND THEN you can be saved.

THIS is a false hope and one that is unbiblical, unscripture, ungoldy, and untrue.
My hope is in Christ AT THE MOMENT I believed, and yours... well... hopefully you will make it.

Just a note concerning what you consistantly convey:
Everything that I have seen you posting in the last month or so and in which I have spoken with you on differing threads is much like if not the same as the Assemblies of God I was in for a while. You quote the same arguements for salvation (what is commonly known as losing it if you do not endure) the giving of the Spirit AFTER salvation. I am not saying you ARE charismatic but if I was still in training as a pastor of that association back then I wouldn't know you from other Asseblies brethren.
But I will say I had not heard from them that if you deny Christ your punishment/judgment is to feed Gods sheep.

It is a VERY dangerous and UNWISE thing to get your doctrine from the book of Acts my friend.
Principles yes, doctrine - No. Waiting on the Holy Ghost or Spirit is a doctrine ONLY contrived from the book of Acts.

    Tresting

I say that because trials and tribulation can choke out belief.

There is many who let trails and choke out what they believed.

The more I do as Christ and tell them do not doubt but believe. The more I encourage people to stand firm to the confidence thay had at first and save them from death.

You might not think it is important, because you believe once saved always sayed.

I know men can walk away. I cannot go against my calling, but to encourage people to believe so that thier life to be saved.

I do not believe one can lose the Holy Spirit, but they can walk away from Him before they even receive it and let trials and tribulation choke out the word of truth.

You cannot lose the Holy Spirit, but if we let trials and tribulatin choke out the truth then we have never received it. We must endure to the end to be saved

Hebrews 3:12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.

    James 5:20
remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

    John 20:27
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

Well Psalms, how about we keep this to the OP which asks:
Can a person loose the Holy Spirit once it is recieved ??

My answer AND your answer to this question is the same: No one CAN NOT loose the Holy Spirit once it is recieved.

    Holy Spirit

We can't let people be deceived into believing they have received something they have never received and face Jesus and Him say He never knew them Go away from me you evil.

So we are to encourage each other to endure to the end and to hold firm to the confidence we had at first.

    Belief

    Matthew 25:
    The Parable of the Talents
14"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. 15To one he gave five talents[a] of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. 17So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. 18But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
19"After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'

21"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

22"The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

23"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

24"Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

26"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28" 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. 29For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Psalms, According to you I can have no confidence in my salvation. What exactly is enduring til the end? I have failed so many times I can't even count them. I have even gone years in rebellion to God, just like the prodigal son which is one of my favorite stories because I'm like the son. If I have to endure til the end then I have failed already and am doomed to hell. The Bible says we are sealed in Christ by the Holy Spirit. What God has sealed cannot be lost. How can we influence people to Christ if we don't believe that He can keep them? Why would they commit their lives to a God that might revoke their salvation some day?
I would still like for you to give me the scripture that says we will be tested by fire and trials before being given the Holy Spirit. Do I have to pass a test before I receive Him? Do I have to be good enough to deserve Him?

Well what we have here is a classic case of mixing messages. This is what happens when we don't let context rule. We have a mixture of messages that end up destroying both messages.

It all has to do with how one sees works. Some see works in that if you don't endure to the end you were never saved in the first place. Others see works in that you can lose your salvation if you don't produce works after you are saved.

If we would just let Scripture say what Scripture says and keep it within the context that it was given we wouldn't have these issues.

We are saved by grace through faith.

Trust in Jesus and you will not be disappointed.

Your hope for your salvation is in Jesus. I have no fear in losing my salvation. Jesus is our only hope.

Our eternal (spiritual) salvation is not a hope, but a reality. If one does not know they are saved, but only hopes they are saved the Bible tells us we don't have to live like that, becuase we can know.

The hope of salvation speaks to something other than eternal (spiritual) salvation. If our eternal (spiritual) salvation is merely a hope then Scripture has contradicted Itself and that is an impossibility. So the only conclusion we can have is that the hope of salvation is speaking to something else.

    hope

I never claimed merly a hope, Jesus is my hope and I trust in Him for my salvation, my faith is directly and solely on Him.

I know He will see me through, but faith without deeds is dead.

If I only have words only do I have faith? I I show my faith by what I do.

With all due respect . . . you contradict yourself in this one sentence. Is salvation an absolute or is it a hope? Is Jesus a hope or a reality when it comes to eternal (spiritual) salvation?

What is there to be seen through? Eternal (spiritual) salvation is not a linear process, so there is nothing to be seen through when it comes to this topic.

Faith without deeds is dead. James tells us that, but the context of James is not eternal (spiritual) salvation. He is talking to saved folks. James is talking about faith beyond eternal (spiritual) salvation.

That's why I said earlier that we get into real trouble when we mix messages that are not intended to be mixed.

James says yes, but it is a dead or useless faith that will not save you, but again the context is not eternal (spiritual) salvation.

Right. A saved person shows their faith beyond salvation by what they do. If they don't have any works it doesn't prove that they weren't saved, it just proves that they have a dead or useless faith beyond eternal (spiritual) salvation.

Again we have to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. I have some great resource material if you would like to dive further into the Scriptures regarding these two matters.

Psalms, this is the 3rd time I have asked you for scripture to support this statement. Do we receive the Holy Spirit at the moment we believe or do we get saved then get tested then receive the Holy Spirit?

    scripture

Scripture does not contradict, it tells us the whole truth.

Those who endure to the end shall be saved aand I can trust in Jesus to do what He says.

My faith is shown by what I do.

Either I trust in Jesus and I am saved or I don't and I am condemned.

There is no middle ground, you cannot be double-minded and unstable in our ways.

I cannot live without trusting in Jesus and expect to be saved.

Believers who endure to the end are quarenteed salvation by Jesus. I have no doubt I am going to be saved by the words of Jesus that my faith comes from.

    Tested

I will say again that belief can be choked out by trials and tribulation and we will not receive the Holy Spirit.

Unless you think you can receive the Holy Spirit and then let trials and tribulation choke it out

Amy.G: //What exactly is enduring til the end?
I have failed so many times I can't even count them//

Generally folks think that means until the end of the Tribulation Period.
Yet that meaning contradicts what Jesus said:

    Mat 24:21-22 (KJV1611 Edition):
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor euer shall be.
22 And except those dayes should be shortned, there
should no flesh be saued: but for the elects sake,
    those dayes shall be shortned.

I wrote this for End Times discussion, but it
shows what some think 'enduring til the end'
means. 'Enduring to the end' means that you
believe God raised Jesus from the dead
until you die or get raptured. 'Enduring to the end'
does NOT mean sinless perfection the rest
    of your life.

    --------------------------
    The Thessalonians were familiar with
this saying of Jesus which we now find
    recorded in Matthew 24:13 (KJV1873):

But he that shall endure unto
the end, the same shall be saved.

But some said of their friend "He got
sick and died before Jesus came to
    get him, poor soul."

    Paul addresses this problem in
    a clearly pretribulation rapture passage
    1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:11,
one of the most comforting passages in the
    Bible.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:11 (nKJV):

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning those who have fallen
asleep, lest you sorrow as others who
    have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and
rose again, even so God will bring with Him
    those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive and remain until
the coming of the Lord will by no means
    precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain
    shall be caught up (raptured)
together with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air. And thus we shall
    always be with the Lord
    .
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons,
brethren, you have no need that I should
    write to you.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that
the day of the Lord so comes as a thief
    in the night.
3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!"
then sudden destruction comes upon them,
as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.
    And they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness,
so that this Day should overtake
    you as a thief.
5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day.
We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do,
but let us watch and be sober.
7 For those who sleep, sleep at night,
and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
8 But let us who are of the day be sober,
putting on the breastplate of faith and love,
and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath,
but to obtain salvation through our
    Lord Jesus Christ,
10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep,
we should live together with Him
    .
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify
    one another
, just as you also are doing.

Later the Thessalonians wondered if they
had missed the rapture. Paul corrects this
    in a second letter:

    2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (nKJV):

    1 Now, brethren, concerning
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and our gathering together to Him,
    we ask you
    ,
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled,
either by spirit or by word or by letter,
as if from us, as though the day of Christ
    had come
    .
    3 Let no one deceive you by any means;
for that Day will not come unless
    the falling away comes first,
    and the man of sin
is revealed, the son of perdition,

The falling away that comes first
    is the Rapture!
Then the man of sin is revealed, the
    antichrist. Then the Tribulation period
    begins.

While the KJV uses "falling away" here, the
English versions before the KJV used a
form of "departure" - again, the idea of
someone leaving this world as in the pretribulation
    rapture/resurrection

    2 Thessalonians 2:3 (Geneva Bible):
Let no man deceiue you by any meanes: for that day shall
not come, except there come a departing first, and that
that man of sinne be disclosed, euen the sonne of perdition,

There is nothing HAS TO HAPPEN before
    the rapture.
Here are some things that could happen
before the rapture but they do NOT
    have to happen.

    1) The destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17)
    2) the Ezekiel 38 Gog/Magog invastion
(the Ezekiel 39 and Revelation 20:8
Gog/Magog invasion will be after the
    Tribulation period)
    3) the building of a Temple in Jerusalem
on Mount Moriah north of and alongside
    the Dome of the Rock.

But again, these things do not HAVE
TO HAPPEN before the rapture, they may
happen after the rapture; they could happen
before the rapture. They do not HAVE TO
    HAPPEN before the imminent pretribulation
    rapture.

Amen Brother Psalms 109:31 -- Preach it!

'Enduring to the end' means Jesus helps us GO ALL THE WAY.

    Consider:

    John 3:16 (KJV1611 Edition):
For God so loued ye world, that he gaue his only begotten
Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him,
should not perish, but haue euerlasting life
    .

    Everlasting Life has NO END.
If you could loose the Holy Spirit, then your life would end.
    Everlasting Life has NO END.
