I am looking for new sermons to add to my new website, www.hardpreaching.com

I'm not really looking for "big name" preachers, just quality hard preaching from any pastors or evangelists that I could feature on the website.

Of course, the criteria is independent, fundamental Baptist, KJV only, soul-winning, separated, etc.

I would appreciate any recommendations either to a particular website where I could download the sermons, or if anyone has them on their hard drive, they can email them to me at [email protected].

    Thank you,
    Pastor Steven L Anderson

Just curious. What constitutes "hard preaching"? Is it a style (i.e. shouting and screaming) or is it words?

I do notice that your website you have the following disclaimer:
So, according to this definition, the opposite of "hard preaching" is "boring preaching." Maybe there should be a disclaimer at the bottom of the site that says "*For entertainment purposes only"

I have heard some preachers scream and hollar and kick things down with little substance to what they were saying, and I have heard some "boring preaching" that had a very strong and convicting message.

It seems to me that some (not all) preachers who scream for a majority of the time do it for the adrenaline rush that it gives them (as in satisfying the flesh). And I have seen some in the congregation whom I knew were not very spiritual enjoy jumping up and waving a Bible and shouting back at absolutely everything shouted (probably not even paying much attention to what is actually being said, only responding for the intense adrenaline rush).

I'll tell you one sermon that I would define as "hard preaching." This is Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathan Edwards. It was said that he spoke rather monotonously, but while he preached this powerful message, there were scores of people nervously clenching their seats feeling they were going to fall into hell at any moment. You have to read this sermon: it is surely some hard preaching! ;)

Like I was told by a grey hair once, "You can preach about a stone, and if the Holy Ghost is in it, the entire world could get saved at that moment".

Sorry, I can't off the top of my head think of any preachers fitting your criteria that I could recommend.

My pastor is one of the best teachers I have ever sat under. He preaches the word and doesn't mince words. I wouldn't call him hard however. Truthful -- very much so, but not hard. He also uses the NASB. No theatrics either, although he has been know to tell a really bad joke from time to time.

Too bad I can't submit his sermons because he really is one of the best Bible teachers I've known.

How about I scream Genesis chapter 1 into a microphone and send the audio. Would that count as "hard preaching" if

    1. preach = proclaim the word
    2. hard = (according to the site) the opposite of "boring"

    ?

This would not be "pansy" screaming. And this would be the Word of God! I can't stand it when pansy preachers scream the weather at me!

Well, here is the definition of pansy according to wikipedia:

The Pansy or Pansy Violet is a cultivated garden flower. It is derived from the wildflower called the Heartsease or Johnny Jump Up (Viola tricolor), and is sometimes given the subspecies name Viola tricolor hortensis. However, many garden varieties are hybrids and are referred to as Viola × wittrockiana. The name "pansy" also appears as part of the common name of a number of wild flowers belonging, like the cultivated Pansy, to the violet genus Viola. One or two unrelated flowers such as the Pansy Monkeyflower also have "pansy" in their name.

So I guess Mr. Sanderson doesn't want anyone preaching on a flower! ;)

I have to wonder, is God limited to using only those preachers who fit your criteria? And if He is not, then why would you want to leave off men God was using?
Of course if your answer is yes, then you've got bigger problems.

This is a tremendous site that has plenty of the right type of preaching...
    http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Books,%20Tracts%20&%20Preaching/Audio%20Sermons/audio_sermons.htm

This has preachers like Jack Hyles, Jeff Owens, Jack Schaap, John R. Rice, Ron Comfort, and J. Frank Norris

Also you might like Paul Chappell and John Goetsch of Lancaster Baptist Church. Their site is www.lancasterbaptist.org

Praise God I have found another KJV, IFB, who is interested in soulwinning and separation. There aren't many of us on this site!

    True tolerance

Well, I think this person has the right to set his own criteria regardless whether we agree with him or not. Also, I am not sure that you have the necessary information or insight to judge whether he has "bigger problems."

Careful thought will reveal that all of us set criteria that leave out other people. Even this Board requires participants to be Baptists to post on certain forums. Is this wrong? Is it indicatitve that the webmaster has "bigger problems." If we say the sermons on a web site are limited to Baptists, then Methodists, Presbyterians, etc. are left out. Would you put a Roman Catholic on your Baptist web site? Charismatic? Even so, you are still drawing the line though in a different place. So, what gives you the right to judge another and say he is drawing the line in the wrong place? Why must he conform to your expectations so that he cannot set his own expectations for his own web site?

There is no Scriptural mandate for inclusivism.

    Soft preaching

No, but they probably are not TV preachers. Do you watch Bernice Angley? Hinny Benny? Joel Holstein? BTW, Jim Barkker is back on TV!
