[IMG] Can someone who does not have a warm fluffy fondness for God be saved?

Please provide scripture proof and/or logical argument with your answer.

My answer is yes and here's the scripture:

1 Cor 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

I don't understand your answer. You said yes, a person who does not have a WFF for God is saved.
Then you post a verse that says that if you do NOT have WFF for Christ, let him be accursed.

And I hope you have more than just a WFF for God.

I am so confused. What is this about warm fluffy fondness? What is the thread in the other form about flowers? Why does someone ask how a Christian can get saved?

Has (almost) everyone on this board gone insane?

As an aside, I do have warm fluffy fondness for kitties like your avatar, Amy. I'm thinking about getting a cat when I move soon (God willing).

Sometimes insanity is the best way to get the attention of the illogical.

    Revelation 3:15-16
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Why do I have to prove it? I never said that I had the warm fuzzies for God. I do love Him with ALL my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:love2:

But, love goes far deeper than feelings, although it does include feelings. But, love proves itself in actions.

Amen! Actually "loving" is what we do, not how we feel.

My point is that without a Biblical definition of Love, we can say we Love God but do we?

If I sin willfully I am loving self more than God (or loving self more than my brother). It matters not, how I feel (WWF) at that point. When I sin willfully I am actively not loving God.

So does a Christian always "love God"? He should.

I always love Him, but I'm not always obedient. My love never stops. Do your children stop loving you when they disobey?

Which "love" are you talking about?

I can either love my wife, my children, my God, etc, or not. Lots of people have WWF for others. I've heard tell that in the notes left behind by men who committed double murders, that they killed their wife and then themself because they "loved" them so much.

Do you deny their passion? How can you know how they felt? And quite frankly, what did it matter how they felt? They were "hating" when they killed their wife!

Love your neighbor never means to feel fondness for him. Your feelings are irrelevant in that commandment. How do you treat him?

Biblical love is not a feeling! You can actively love God and feel nothing! You can be feeling absolute "hatred" for your neighbor and still "love" him out of obedience by actively denying your passions and being kind to him.

Great question. Is "love" a fluffy bodily response, or a tangible, effectual act.

Dear wife: I have committed my life to you. I will provide my substance for you. I will tend to your every need. You will want for nothing. My actions will show you I love you. Not that I will actuall FEEL anything toward you, though. My feelings change, so tomorrow I may hate you. But even though I hate you, you will still have my substance because I have committed it to you. You will know how great my love for you is when you see how much I hate you but still do things for you.

Our relationship has no effect on me, so don't expect me to love you. I might, and I might not, who knows? But it's okay, cause we know that love is not a feeling.

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that even though I love you but might hate you tomorrow, at neither time will I be fond of you.
