You know what... I grew up in Detriot. We used to cross the river back and forth with our neighbors and I support our sales reps in Montreal. I will tell you something. Most of the Canadians I have met are more polite and much kinder than most Americans I have met. I will say that the field is ripe, but the workers are few. That goes for both US and Canada.... We as His people need to be about building up and helping each other to grow His kingdom. Let's forget the petty bickering. For each good point each of our nations enjoy, there is a downside. Let's all get together and tell the lost about a God who loves them so much that He sent His only Son to die for our own shortcomings and our outright transgressions.

I would like to say this; I am a citizen of the world who happened to have been born in England and now live in Canada. The gospel is not bound by borders or nationality. We are sons and daughters of the Kingdom of God.

The main thrust of my argument is that when we leave one country, we must leave the baggage behind. If Icame to the USA and boasted about how great things were in Canada, you might justly ask, Why did you come here? The same was true when I came from England...I had to leave England behind and get on with being Canadian.

This is all I ask of anyone who comes to Canada. Come! Preach the word! But please, don't build American churches....build the church of Christ, which happens to be in Canada, and I will do the same when I come to the USA.

On the question of the United Church, yes, it is the most liberal church in Canada, but amongst those liberals are the precious few who stand firm on God's word. The same is true of the Anglican Church. I have worked with both. Wife and I attend an Anglican Church on Sundays, and we worship the same God, in a different way, as we do when we attend a Baptist Church. Don't write all off for the sake of some.

Cheers, and God bless each and every one of us as we work to extend the message of Christ everywhere.

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS. Always remember that half of my family is American by choice and by citizenship

Praise the Lord!!!! I am with you brother.
Our battle is with the evil one who prefers to work in darkness, Let us bring him into the light that his evil deeds may be exposed.

"and such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he (satan) corrupt with flatteries; but the people that do know thier God shall be strong, and do exploits" Daniel 11:32
the NIV says "firmly resist him"
the NAS says "will display strength and take action" (in place of "and do exploits")

Acts 3:44 "And all that believed, were together , and had all things common"

and as a result of believers being as one accord it resulted in

"Praising God, and having favor with all the people, and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" vs 47

read acts 3:41-47 this the results of a church that lifts up the name of Jesus We are the church of Christ and we are one with Him (not seperated by denominations or countries)

Thanks J_Barner for you reply, I for one am in agreement. Lets pray that God keep us all humble, and have a strong desire to seek that which is lost.

    Oh Can--a--da
