A friend of mine and former member of BB sent me this info:

"dr. found colon cancer. I'm having CT scans on Tuesday to see if it has spread and surgery at 3:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday at the Hospital. PLEASE pray this has been contained and not spread to other organs!"

    Please pray for D

You will certainly be in our prayers and pray that the test will be good and the cancer will go into remission.

    YES, just recieved it tonight:

    From D

Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Psalm 86:2

I’m HOME! Doctor came in early this morning and said ‘I’ve never seen anything like this!’ I am only in pain when I stand or bend and then it really hurts but other than a shot the night after surgery, I’ve not had ANY pain meds and I was eating real food at lunch yesterday. 3 – 4 day hospital stay reduced to 42 hours!!!

I did not lose the whole top and right side of my colon. The tumor was actually around my navel area. He took out that area and put it back together.

The organs were CLEAR!! Praise God! I’ll get the results of the biopsy of my lymph nodes on Monday and will see the doctor on Thursday. They took off my bandages and said I can’t drive or lift, etc. but I need to walk and keep active.

Thank you so much for the prayers! I believe our prayers that the cancer had not spread includes the lymph nodes and I believe I will not need chemo. I’ll let you all know the results as soon as I know.

Thank you again for the prayers.

    PRAISE THE LORD  :godisgood:

I just recieved this email the other day:

The cancer was in five of 14 or 17 (??) lymph nodes so I’ll be having chemo once I’m healed from the surgery. I assume that’ll be in 3- 5 weeks. I am awaiting an appointment with the oncologist.

Please continue to keep me in prayer for 100% healing. Of course I am very disappointed ……….

    I recd this email today:

Chemo will begin Feb. 11th. It will be 4 hours every other Wednesday for 6 months. I’ll be sent home with a pump that will continue to pump medicine until it is removed that Friday. I’ll be having a port put in on Feb. 10th through an outpatient surgery, so the chemo won’t burn my veins.

My chances of being cancer free at 5 years are very high. There’s also a clinical trial for a proven drug that has been successfully used on people with advanced colon cancer. It’s being tested on people like me, who didn’t have cancer in other organs. I qualify for the trial but a computer chooses who gets the meds. That drug would really insure a super high rate of 100% cure. Of course, I’m praying I’m chosen, if God wills.

Please continue to keep me in prayer for a complete healing as well as any anxiety.

    Diane
