    What does Candid Camera have to do with Politcs. Well, it would be funny if it wasnt so serious. This evenings (Sun 30 Jan)the eposide of CC was about getting Ca citizens to sign a petition to recall (as a takeoff of the governer recall)the state Comptroler and an Assemblyman. The names listed were ficitious. It seems as though everyone was willing to sign. Even though they did not know the office holders. How could they, the "office holders" were made up people.
    Maybe, we do need a test before people vote.

    Thats pretty funny! :D What were some of the reasons the petitioners were giving for the recall?
    It seems that the average Joe is so ignorant when it comes to politics (and things religious for that matter) that they will just go along with just about anything.
    Can you just imagine what this country would be like in a pure democracy? It would be mob rule.

    New York State along with other states will be having elctions this November. In NY State we will be voting for city council, county council, city board of education, a couple of judges, as well as a few town officials. (In New York, a town and a city have different political applications)

    I trust I will get to know the candidates before election day. The local Christian Bookstore here in Syracuse, normally has a candidates night a few weeks before the election.

    If your state is having elections, this is the time to get to know the candidates and the issues.

    Unfortunately, this is the state of politics. It seems as if our culture is one to "step on the bandwagon". Another comedic show, not sure which, was trying to get women to sign a petition to end women's sufferage. I was appalled with how many women actually were signing. One women was asked why she would sign petition to stop her right to vote, and she said she did not know what "sufferage" meant, she thought it was about women suffering.
