Agree. Trump cannot win against Clinton in a General election. Look at the numbers. He will split the Republican vote.

Christie might not like that since I'm sure he was also promised a spot in thr ticket. Yea for going back to the spoils system of the early 20th century.

Reading lots and lots of sources.

Since there are a lot of people that plan on writing in a candidate in the event that Trump gets the nominee those that are voting for him despite the fact that the majority of Republicans do not want are defacto helping the Dems win in November.

I figure that line of if you write in a candidate your voting for the Dems can cut both ways.

There are lots of reports from states with open primaries, like Texas for example, where Dems go to the polls and crossover vote for Trump because they see him as easily beatable in November. They want Trump to get the GOP nomination.

This is something like Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" in 2008, only in reverse.

Carson has said that he's compromising his principles for pragmatism.
    -------------
Carson told host Krista Kafer, who said she will not support Trump if he’s the nominee, that he would share her view if the stakes of the election for future generations weren’t so high.

“For me, it’s about the children and the grandchildren,” said Carson. “If it was just me, I would be completely where Krista is. I would say, ‘hey, I got this,I can deal with it,’ but for them, I can’t.”

“It was pragmatism, recognizing that John Kasich cannot win without a brokered convention — which would guarantee a Democrat win — and recognizing that Ted Cruz can bring conservatives but will have a very difficult time bringing moderates and Democrats,” Carson said on Kelley and Kafer. “I think that will be pretty much a guaranteed loss also. So in terms of who can potentially win, I think that would be Donald Trump. When I look at the consequences of not winning, it’s too horrible to even think about.”

One unbeliever endorses the other unbeliever. How shocking. Of course, Carson has a reason for not endorsing Cruz. Cruz is a Christian, and Carson's "church" teaches that all people like Cruz (and us) will be put to death at the second coming.

    Thumbsup

This is what gets me every election cycle. It's as though Christians collectively lose the good sense that the Holy Spirit has delivered when it comes to supporting candidates.
