A communist-controlled newspaper in Cuba (actually all the press in Cuba is communist controlled) made a slur against the US President, for which they have not apologized.

    Here is what they published:

"Elias Argudín has written an article that got published on March 24, 2016, in The Havana Tribune, a state-controlled newspaper, where he criticized President Obama during his historic visit to Communist Cuba in 2016.

"Mr. Argudín resents the fact that President Obama met with a group of human-rights dissidents and implied in his remarks that the Cuban socialist model needed to change. To underscore his outrage, Argudín – who is Afro-Cuban – titled his article “Negro, ¿Tú Eres Sueco? (“Negro, Are You Dumb or a Swede?”)"

My translation of the slur against the US President would be Negro, are you a dumb Swede?

For the source of the above quote and more information about Cuban communist racism, see the link below from Jorge Ponce, a Cuban-American dissident and civil rights expert:

From the article: "By calling the President a Swede, Argudín is adding to the confusion that has racial overtones behind it."

Perhaps I have not been here long enough, but I do not understand the insult.

Read the short link. The Cubans know that the word "Negro" is not used anymore in either Spanish or English; also, it is not acceptable to call someone stupid by calling him a Swede, is it? Dumb Swede was common fifty years ago. You can't even say that some welches on a bet anymore, can you?

There are many comments on this act on the internet--I chose Jorge Ponce because he is a retired federal employee who worked in civil rights discrimination for the government in hiring. Also, Jorge Ponce is a Cuban-American dissident.

The idiot , Obama, never learns. He kisses up to tyrants and they, in turn spit on him. He then declares a great accomplishment. The moron.

I was not in the U.S. fifty years ago, so I will trust your word in this. It bothers me little.

At least I am not from Finland. Laugh

I guess that Castro, who runs a segregated country, allowed the press in Cuba to say to Obama, "Negro, do you think that you are a white man?"
