I have submitted a number of suggestions for the N.T. when the TNIV was in print. I email a few on the translation team and offer suggestions as a mere layman.

Not as one sided though as you might claim, as MANY conseravtive Evangelicals have severe reservations about the gender issues in NIV 2011 and other MV, as they tend to dilute the roles distinctions between sexes in the scriptures!

And I said concervative New Testament scholars have favored the 2011 NIV.

You are terribly misinformed. Give just one example where role distintions have been confused.

Well, do know the SBC, Council of Biblical manhhod, and the Bible researcher all had problems with the NIV attempt to "feminize' the sacred texts, to make sure appeased Evangelical feminists!

And here were some that did not like the Tniv it was based upon!
The 26 scholars who have stated their refusal to endorse the TNIV include two Southern Baptist Convention seminary presidents, R. Albert Mohler Jr. of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Paige Patterson of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, along with Wayne Grudem of Phoenix Seminary in Scottsdale, Ariz., and a past president of the Evangelical Theological Society; Harold O.J. Brown of Reformed Theological Seminary; R.C. Sproul of Ligonier Ministries; John Piper of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis; and Raymond C. Ortlund Jr. of First Presbyterian Church, Augusta, Ga.

Yes,I am perfectly familiar with their slander.

Well,D.A.Carson likes the TNIv and he is probably the best Reformed/Evangelical scholar around. Daniel Wallace is not too shabby either and he likes the 2011 NIV. And then there is Rod Decker a Fundamentalist/Reformed New Testament scholar who has an excellent review of the same. Then there is Dr. Thomas Nass who wrote a very good review of the 2011 NIV.

When one takes the time to actually look at the resumes of the translators of the NIV you would not be able to find a better group of people who combine academia and godliness. have you ever heard of Doug Moo who heads the team. His commentary on Romans alone would qualify him as being superior.

Wayne Grudem had to backtrack on some of his statements regarding elementary Greek. He has a history of being reckless in his remarks re the TNIV. He has moderated some with respect to the 2011 NIV.

You really need to get the big picture for the truth to come out.

why do you regard it superior to either the Nasb/Esv though as being faithful to the original texts?

I had asked you to give me at least one example to prove the truth of your absurd claim. Please answer the question.

Why do you consider the Niv 21011 superior to either the Nasb or the Esv?

Answer the question yourself. Don't simply parrot lies and slander.

Why would yoyu say that? the author, to me at least, makes some good points regarding how the bible translators allowed for more of a liberal agenda bias creep into their version then it had before!

Back up your outrageous claim or apologize for your sinful slander. Don't put it off on others;otherwise you are engaging in gossip. Do not say things that are untrue. Your words will be mud until you clear this up. (Unintentional pun)

Deal specifically with what you have said above.

why was there this great "need" to "update' the traditional understanding of the texts as regarding males/females rolesin the Bible?

the Esv/Nas/Nkjv chose not to do that, neither has the HCSb, so why be the main version to do that?

And is it "slander" even, as there are many reputable scholars who have come out against the 2011 Niv , due to this very issue?

Were all of them slandering it also?

Rather than condemn the CEV because of vague issues with the translation philosophy, why not just read a chapter or two and decide on the merits.

It is slander when you mindlessly and sinfully say the bunk you have. I have had to repeat myself several times for you to back-up your nonsense claim made on 4/22/13,post #22. Support your bogus claim or apologize and say that you have no idea what you are even talking about.
