How would I change the entire system language in Windows XP.

    Specifically from English to Polish.

Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options

There's three tabs. One for regional things like currency, one for inputs like keyboard layouts, and another for menus and non-unicode programs.

Not everything will be switched over, but I think thats the best you can do.

Preciate it - I did all that, but the icons and start menu are still in English.

Anyone know if there is a way to get it all changed?

During installation is there an option to chose language? Seems like there was but don't know that it isn't to set it up like you already have done. Would guess a new version would be needed.

Snoop MS and see if they have some info, or email them.

    Roger,

According to the Help file I found in WinXP Pro, changing the language for menus and dialog boxes is only available if the Windows Multilingual User Interface Pack is installed. Hope this helps.

Thanks folks. We have a Polish family in our church who recently had a laptop stolen - our folks pullled together to replace it. I was worried about the language, but we gave it to them they were so happy that they said that English would be fine. They are learning anyway, so maybe it will be a help.

    Thanks for all the input.
