How about names like -

Independant Fundamentalist Baptist,

Southern Baptist Convention,

Freewill Baptist

Have these groups not added differenciation?

In ACts it was said "ye do always resist"
.
</font>
Resistance----if things don't sway their way

Openness to the spirit---if things do

My church has no problem understanding English! And the Holy Spirit can understand us quiet well in English!!

</font>
Yes, they have. And these are all Baptist in faith in polity.

"Charismatic" is not an historical Baptist doctrine.

The Baptist Faith and Message, whether the 1960's version or the newer one, is very recent in history.

I was referring to centuries of Baptist teaching, wherein Baptist and Charismatic are not congruent. Although there may be a small, out-of the-mainstream group here and there with charismatic leanings, they are not representative of what it is to be a Baptist.

</font>
iF YOU don't want to reference the Baptist Faith and Message then reference something that says that Charismatic beliefs go against Baptist beliefs.
Look into vote on this issue in the State of Georgia at their Baptist conventioin.
There wsas an attempt to make a resolution that would not allow Charismatic Practices. It failed to recieve the number of votes required.
If it had passed it would have been non Binding. It failed. Check it out.

Each SBC church is autonomous. If a church wants to go the direction that the particular believes God wants them to go they do not have to have approval from a denominational hierarchy.
That is a great thing about the SBC.
If you change that concept then you open the door for anything to be controled by a political group. Do you want this to happen??????

I have talked to many people that say what you just said and most of the time ( you may be an exception) these people haven't even been to one of these churches but someone told them something 2nd or third hand.
Could you give me specific names of churches that you have gone to and tell me exctly what happened?
</font>
did you ever come up with a specific example?
