    WORLD CLOCK
    CONNECTING THE TECHNICAL WORLD

Some rather sobering numbers. I watched for 30 seconds and there were 30 abortions performed in that amount of time. That's one every second! :tear:

Note the numbers of oil pumped. Goes faster than any of the others.

I've never seen anything like it. It is amazing!

I like how they have the Earth's temperature rising 1/tenbillionth of a degree every second. I'd like to know where that thermometer is...

How do they know that 38 species went extinct today?

Why don't you contact them, Rubato, and ask instead of making fun of something very technical that you may not understand?

    Hi!

This is an eye opening thing to watch..

I did find the real link though, the one you posted is from a MLM site.

    http://www.poodwaddle.com/clocks2.htm

Virtually the same thing, only without the advertisement of a MLM company.

    Thanks for the orginial link!

Cool, I put this info on my blog...

Plus I added a stat counter, counting the number of abortions since Jan 1.
You can add it to your blog, myspace, or any other webpage...
Click here to see more free stuff... http://www.poodwaddle.com/free5.htm

Or if you want the abortion counter, copy and paste this html code where you need to...

    <embed src="http://www.poodwaddle.com/abortion.swf" width="359" height="400" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#ffffff" />

You can adjust the width and height numbers to fit your needs...

approximately 85 marriages per minute, over 16 divorces per minute, or about 1/5 of marriages end in divorce ?

I'm not too good at statistics but is there something here ?

Do they have a US clock ?

I admit not knowing much about any "World Clock", but I do wonder about another clock.

How is it that when I set my clock forward one hour (and my computer automatically resets forward one hour), upon the onset of Daylight Saving Time, the Baptist Board Clock somehow went backwards an hour?? BTW, the same thing happened last year, as well. It automatically corrected itself last year, when DST ended, BTW.

Instead of the clocks reading the same time, as they did before DST arrived, now there is a two-hour differential. Apparently, while we "Spring forward; Fall back!", the BB 'springs back and falls forward'!?!

    ???

    Just looked at it awhile!

I think I noticed one thing, however, by "reading between the lines".

As the late Mr. Fred Rogers might have said:

"Boys and girls, can you spell 'A-G-E-N-D-A'?"

What part of this are you having problems with?
(From the site specified in the OP = opening post)

// The figures on this clock are approximations based on past stats and estimates. They are calculated from the beginning of the selected timer period until the current time. //

    From my information page:
    //14,006 (6.89 posts per day)//

That means on the day clock, when a day has passed, it will show 6.89 posts. I actually never make .8 of a post during any day. Over a number of days, however (cetrainly over the last 6 years) I post 6.89 posts per day that are still left.

Well, I didn't mean anything but the a poke at the catastophistic environmental agenda-pushers, and I apologized to Blessed for making light of what is actually a sobering point, #', of abortions, etc. This is not the forum for a discussion on these issues, but since it has been brought up twice:
There is nobody who knows what the Earth's temperature is, nor how much it actually is changing, nor how to predict how fast it changes 1/tenbillionth of a second! A temperature reading at one point on the globe gives very different data than readings at other points: it is up to the scientists which ones to take as the evidence for what ever they think is going on! Normally, the data that most closely agrees with the prevailing thought (ie global warming) is the data accepted as most accurate. Unless temperatures are taken consistently for thousands of years, we cannot predict this type of temperature change over such a period of time. So my question is, where is that point on the globe where we are able (or have been able) to show by evidence, not a buch of hypotheses that the globe (earth, terra firma) is getting warmer by 1/ten billionth of a second? Simple question.

Secondly, to say definitely that 38 species are going extinct every day, when (again) all you have to go on are mountains of theories is misleading. So, how many species were there 50 years ago and how do you know? YOU DON'T. How do you know 38 species went extinct yesterday?

I understand that the point is to show how quickly people are slipping into eternity, how many abortions, and several items of side interest. I didn't mean to start a debate about the environmental wackos and stuff.
