In an interview, Cheney said what they found was the capability to produce weapons.

We invaded a country because they had the "potential" to produce weapons. This means the intelligence was faulty according to Cheney and there were no WMD. Just the ability to make some if they wanted. Every nation has the ability.

This is a small portion of why we went in. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

Sorry but you are wrong again on this one. Iraq was not allowed to have the material or falilities to make WMDs according to the terms of the original 1991 Cease-fire Agreement between the U.S. and Iraq. Therefore, Iraq violated the terms of the original 1991 Cease-fire Agreement which resulted in a return to a state of hostilities between the U.S. and Iraq. There is no issue here.

I think the topic of this thread is WMDs and whether or not Iraq had the capability to produce them. All this other stuff you have raised in an attempt to paint the Bush Administration in a bad light is not on topic and only serves to derail the thread. If you seriously wish to discuss these other issues please feel free to start a new thread on that topic.

Now back to the topic of the OP:

The facts are that Iraq was not allowed to have the material or falilities to make WMDs according to the terms of the original 1991 Cease-fire Agreement between the U.S. and Iraq. Therefore, Iraq violated the terms of the original 1991 Cease-fire Agreement which resulted in a return to a state of hostilities between the U.S. and Iraq. There is no issue here.

According to Cheney, had the intelligence been accurate we probably would not have gone. Now that's from the VP so not sure what your beef is???

    My you're easily impressed.

Why do you insist on calling the VP a liar? Don't you think he knows? Now Bush has also said things would have been different if the intelligence had been accurate.

I did not accuse him of being a liar. Nothing I said contradicts what he said. I have only contradicted the conclusion you mistakenly drew from what the V.P. said.

What the V.P. said and what I said are in total agreement. Perhaps you ought to make sure you have the facts correct before to draw an erroneous conclusion from something you read?
